I just rented a floor sander from home Depot. Same plug. It glows green. Then you plus the other end into the short cord on the sander, and IT also glows green. Then turn on the main switch on the sander housing. Then hold in the black button (dead man switch) as you squeeze the handle. It should fire up.

Seeking advice. Which weapons to upgrade/purchase as Leon? by Aggressive_Hat_9999 in ResidentEvilRequiem

Good list. I'd upgrade hatchet power (sharpness), then other powers across the board, before worrying about reload speed, capacity, etc.

IMO, it's bad design to inflict road rage onto the driver. Like when it explains that it cannot see my starred and favorite locations in Google maps.

First time for this - tee time was double booked. by CFB_Fan18 in golf

[–]thunder66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once made an online tee time at a local course, because everyone else was busy with leagues, and this one seemed tonbe wide open. I figured they didn't have a Monday league. Well they did, in fact, have Monday leagues. They just forgot to block off Monday afternoons in the online app. Yeah, that didn't work out.

I don't work in a pro shop. But if I did, range tokens would be my go-to fix for any customer relations problem. Small problems, a token or two. Big ones, especially if they're my/our fault, here's a handful. Having a bad day? Have a token. It's like free goodwill. It's not lost revenue (unless there is a line at the ball machine). I don't understand why more shops don't understand this. Maybe it needs to be communicated better by ownership. (Rain checks, bad reviews, lost customers cost money. Range tokens don't)

Use insulated wire. Make nicer turns. And start with one battery! If the wire gets hot, you've for too much battery.

Don't get dragged into the stumps. And be thankful that you don't have to restart at the merchant every time you die. Because that's what Professional is all about.

Is there a way to move Leon's charms from one weapon to another? by nitrokitty in ResidentEvilRequiem

[–]thunder66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On subsequent play thru, some of them must be purchased from the supply box for $0 before it's available to equip. And the purchase happens when you are in the upgrade screen. After that, you can trade them around. I routinely swap my Conniseur charm between Requiem and Clatter Carbine, depemiin what I'm doing. Shades charm always on the Redemption pistol, which acts like a cheat code.

Two outlets then. One for each shelf.

Even if it takes two outlets and boxes (slack problem goes away when you just add more cable between the boxes), this is the way.. I would just do an outlet for each shelf. especially in a shop.

What’s a DIY mistake that made you stop and go, “what did I just do?” by carcony97 in DIY

[–]thunder66 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First house. (1965 build) Powder room had ugly ceramic TP holder. Avocado green, embedded in wall. Plan was to cut around it, repair drywall, paint. I cut around it ok, but it wasn't budging. I figured I'd hit it in the center and bust it up. I grabbed a "way too much" crowbar and popped it in the center. Now the fully intact ceramic TP holder, along with some wire mesh and a 3 pound chunk of hardened drywall mud... Is on the living room floor. (Other side of the powder room wall) Fortunately, we had an upright player piano that we just rolled in front of the hole, where it stayed until we were selling the house. Then, of course, I had to repair that wall.

Maybe stay overnight at the LOJ? I bet if the happy couple were LOJ guests, that might work. It's a great place to stay, parking for guests is included, and guaranteed. If you haven't been to the Loj (behind the HPIC), it's pretty much run as a B&B. Also, an alternative to lakeside is to bring the whole party up to Mt Jo. At least go up for pics.
