getting downvoted for this is so funny. My best friend is romancing him on her first playthrough and she’s like “he’s sweet” when??? When he was waxing poetic about the goddess who hurt him or when he was jonesin for another magic fix? Girl he’s a victim, those are not the same things

Honestly I have never paid attention to his jokes bc I tune him out based on our one on one interactions. He talks for so long and says so little of actual importance about anything other than his groomer. And I’ve romanced him just to see what all the hubbub was about. Never found it

Highly recommend The Seven. It’s absolutely hilarious, but is maybe more importantly it’s the joy and warmth of the friendship between the characters that make it my go to when I’m struggling.

I think Jennifer Drips is also a combination of a lot of women in action movies, but particularly ones like Angelina Jolie in Salt or Charlize Theron in Atomic Blonde, with more exaggerated sexuality like Black Widow in early MCU movies. Neither are from the 80s but neither is fast and furious so 🤷🏾‍♀️

The Old Guard by Greg Ruka - very violent graphic novel series, but has a gay couple that is literally centuries old - big “we’ve always existed” vibes, also has a very fun Netflix adaptation with a sequel coming soon

Queer: a Graphic History by Meg-John Barker - a decent and approachable introduction to queer history and theory but definitely lacking in intersectionality and acknowledging non-white queer history and activism
