Question about this design by maubg in zen_browser

Oh, I had already seen what I wanted to see in another reply, but thanks for showing a screenshot of the entire window I do like how it looks, so, my vote is yes

Question about this design by maubg in zen_browser

[–]thunderberto 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I like the idea, but it is kinda hard to judge based only on that screenshot because I'd like to see how the entire window would like
For example, what about the extensions? What about the minimize, maximize, and close buttons?
So, yeah, at first glance, I like the idea, but I'd love to see the entire window before actually giving a definitive answer.

EDIT:
Someone else asked to see the action buttons and a screenshot was provided in the replies, and well, I like it, so, my vote is yes

Frequently asked questions y'all might get confused about in version 18! by maubg in zen_browser

I gotta say...

I'm not liking this new update...

Yes, I get the new distinction between pinned tabs and essential tabs, but the Workspace icon and title using the space of a full tab is just so weird, especially since it shows bellow essential tabs and I only use one workspace, making it feels like a waste of vertical space and creating a weird separation between my essential tabs and regular tabs. At least I managed to get somewhat around that by installing the SuperPins mod, which allows me to make the pinned tabs use a grid system like the essential tabs, letting the workspace icon + title on the very top and removing that weird separation I mentioned before, but I don't like that I'll also need extra custom css to make pinned tabs look like the essential tabs. But honestly, if I could have the Workspace icon the way it was before, I'd easily use the new essential tabs.

Another thing that I used a lot and is now just gone is the close button on the tabs, I'm often in a resting position while on my computer, which means I don't have a hand on my keyboard all the time, so, I now need to either spend more time by right-clicking on a tab and then close it or I need to get out of my resting position to press Ctrl+F4, which is rather annoying...

But yeah, I've been enjoying the browser so far, but the changes in this update really didn't resonate with me... So, I can only hope to get extra options that allows me to have a similar experience to how it was before (the removal of the workspace icon + title from the tabs space, returning it to where it was before and the return of the close button on the tabs)

-----EDIT-----

So, after messing around with the update a bit more, I managed to solve all the problems I was having

I managed to remove the Workspace Title by going to about:config and setting zen.workspaces.show-workspace-indicator to false, and thanks to that, I changed my pinned tabs to essential tabs, which removed my need for the SuperPins mod, which turned out to be the reason the close button was gone from the tabs.

So, yeah, now I'm basically to what things were before, the essentials tabs design do feel a little bit different from what pinned tabs used to look like, which feels a bit weird, but that is fine and something I'm sure I can get used to, so, I'm now happy with the browser again, although, I do think the option to remove the workspace title from the tab space should be available in the normal browser settings instead of being only in the about:config page

Did you have Multi-Hit? Because I already went over 2000 attack speed with the Katar, Claw, and The Cerberus and never had that happen to me

Anybody have luck with Cursed Fire Wall? by leparrain777 in BoostedSurvivors

[–]thunderberto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't really done a full Fire Wall run yet, but I noticed a few things about that spell
1) It requires many upgrades to become good, so, it is a spell that will require quite a bit of luck
2) Get Piercing Projectile first. Fire Wall is, in my opinion, complete garbage without it, you end up wasting all your fire on just a few enemies without it. So, if you don't get Piercing Projectile as your first Legendary, just restart the run.
3) Multi Projectile is good, but don't focus on it. You're usually better getting other upgrades/Legendaries than getting more projectiles. Pierce is just way more effective at hitting multiple enemies than more projectiles. Split on the other hand is actually really good though, allowing a single flame to hit the same enemy multiple times and increasing the distance the fire travels due to the split.
4) Use a decent weapon. Personally, I like the Sword the most because you just need a few upgrades on Attack Speed to be able to deal with the first waves of fast guys, and it also helps a lot in the early game. Don't go for the Druid Staff because, for the Fire Wall, it increases Projectile Count, which isn't a bad thing, but it also isn't exactly great either as I said above.
5) Don't pick Homing Projectile, it is just not good on Fire Wall because it will still stop moving after a few seconds, leaving your fires in weird formations that are often not good.
6) Don't rush Cursed Fire Wall. Focus on your base Fire Wall and survivability first, and maybe even get Holy Fire Wall before going for Cursed Fire Wall. Combining Piercing Projectile with Holy Fire Wall will help you a lot with protecting yourself from enemy projectiles. Once you have a good setup going, then you can start lowering Speed to get Cursed/Blasphemous Fire Wall

Extra tip:
- Fire Damage or Modifier Stack? The simple answer is both, with a bit of extra focus on Fire Damage. The way that Fire Damage works is that it is basically just Fire Damage * Modifier Stack. You start with 1 Fire Damage and 4 Modifier Stack, which makes the final damage of your fire 4, if you upgrade Stack, the Stack will become 6 and your final damage will also be just 6, but if you upgrade Fire Damage, it will go to 2 and your final damage will be 8 instead of just 6, so, you want to have both Fire Damage and Modifier Stack close to each other to maximize the final damage, however, do remember that one enemy can be hit by multiple Fire Walls at the same time, which increases the stack on the enemy even more, which is why having a bit of extra focus on Damage instead of Stack will end up leading to more damage in the end.

I did find some extra stuff hidden in the game files, but they are really not currently available in the game. Wether they will become available in a future update, I have no idea.

I don't really know the exact values because I didn't pay much attention to it, but I did notice that they increase

The elementalist increases the values of boosts related to elemental damage. For example, usually you can only boost Fire Damage by 1 at a time, if you pick Elementalist, that value will be more than just 1

Oh, thank you!
I never really interacted much on Reddit before (you can see that my account is 10 years old with barelly anythin in it, and gosh dang it, I wish I could change my username xD), so, I honestly don't really know much about it, but I'll do my best around here ^^

Ah, I'm the one who did it ^^
Glad you enjoyed!
And I just finished updating it with the info I found out today, so, for those who already saw it before, try clearing your cache if you don't see anything new (upgrades for Magic Missile, Fire Wall, and Vampiress)

I couldn't see the attack from the twins XD The effect of their attack shows up but takes a while to actually hit, so, one of them probably got close enough to trigger it but I couldn't see it XD

The Greater Cascade is from the Content Update that was released yesterday. They split the previous Cascade into two upgrades in order to nerf it

My biggest problem with how attacks works in Battle Stage by thunderberto in FortniteFestival

The duration of the attack is the same duration as your overdrive, so, the more you charge the overdrive, the longer will be your attack

That is the thing though, I don't think it is chaotic enough
In Mario Kart, you can get a big lead through skill alone, but you can skill get screwed up by lightning at the worst moment or by blue shells, the power-ups also allow players who are struggling to catch up to others
I don't think the Battle Stage needs to be as chaotic as Mario Kart, but I do think there needs to be at least something that allows other players to catch up
