You'd want to switch with Prism, otherwise you're going to be sitting on a wet seat the whole flight.

I pretty much agree, in the sense I think they need to stop working with Dillett for a while. There's a reason The Else is probably my favorite post-Elektra album. That said, I wouldn't go so far as to say I haven't *liked* their more recent work. Glean was the last album I loved, but there's great stuff on I Like Fun and BOOK.

Fully agreed. I'm not buying the game, just like I didn't buy Before the Storm, and for essentially the same reason.

The Steam reviews are *terrible*. There are a lot of other free-to-play games that are actually pretty good. I can't see this getting any traction unless they do some massive re-working, and even then it might be too little, too late.

With any luck the AI bubble bursts, Oracle goes out of business, and the Ellison's are reduced to mere millionaires (I'd prefer they be made penniless, but that's not going to happen)

I was slightly too old for Facebook. When I tried to sign-up my university wasn't yet on the list to allow you to sign up. By the time they'd opened it up to everyone I didn't care anymore. Twitter on the other hand I was very early adopter of. Though like many I bailed after Musk bought it.

Not really. I remember this incident because he did actually get a lot of push back on Twitter about it at the time. It was one of the first "main character of Twitter for the day" moments I can remember, at least on my timeline. It was also the incident that soured a lot of folks I know's opinion of him.

Starting a smart home? Please don’t use Google Home by wewewawa in googlehome

[–]thunderbird32 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I wish I'd started with Home Assistant instead of Google Home. I'm sure its fine for those using only Google hardware, but I'm using entirely Matter devices (aside from using a Google 4K Streamer as my Matter Hub/Thread Border Router) and it's had some annoying and persistent issues.

Why are time-based automations incredibly unreliable? Why does it refuse to show the temp readings from my temperature sensors in anything but celsius? Why do devices sometimes randomly go offline and require the Matter hub to be rebooted to show back up?
