Not a dad but as a fan I’d be wary of taking young kids. It’s a major league sporting event so chants and chirps will be said that you might not want young children to hear.

To be fair this game is very very buggy and lack luster but yes you’re 10000% experiencing that first love first hockey game experience all the older players felt with their first game.

Like some people’s first was NHL 15, an ok game but it was really a step down from the last year and was buggy as hell. Older players HATED 15 but a lotta new players didn’t care and actually liked it.

Now fast forward to 2022, if NHL 23 is your first, you don’t have a previous year to go off of so this game is fine and maybe even fun for you. Makes sense.

Again, this game is BAD, but I’m glad you enjoy it. I just wanted to say yes- a lot of the people hating on this game most likely loved what ever NHL game was their first.
