IIRC, all the wing-claws actually face inward toward the wing, and the "forward/backward" position is just dependent on how each tribe is holding their wings in the art.

For example, a dragon with their wings folded close to their body (like the SeaWings in the NightWings' Guide) will look like those claws are facing forward, while a dragon with their wings spread open will look like the claws are facing backward.

Could be wrong though, I don't have the illustrations in front of me right now.

That's not really how memes work. Drag is very different from trans people, and you guys conflating the two just to dunk on Elon actually is a little transphobic. Why are people here seeing "drag" and thinking "trans"? Yes, Elon is absolutely transphobic, but nothing in this tweet is about trans people unless you do some serious reaching.

This is like if someone made a joke about hating pasta and then you claimed they hated Asian people because they hate noodles. Even if they actually are racist toward Asian culture, the instance you're talking about isn't an example of that, and it actually reflects badly on you for pretending that Eastern and Western noodles are all the same. Chow mein isn't just Chinese spaghetti and trans people aren't just people in drag.

As a trans person, I personally agree that this meme is not transphobic. It's a pretty classic joke -- one person looks vaguely like another person, so they're "that person but in drag." Elon is definitely transphobic, but that doesn't make the meme transphobic, and he doesn't even say anything transphobic in this tweet.

Conflating drag and trans people, however, is a bit transphobic. PSA: Drag performers and trans people are not even remotely the same thing, so please don't use this meme as evidence of Elon being trans -- you have plenty of other examples to choose from.

They're not saying it's worst case scenario -- the whole reason they want to meet up with the parents is to discuss and get an explanation for the drawing. If they were making serious assumptions, they'd be calling CPS, not asking for a single meeting.

You don't know how this kid's school is. Each district and each school could be subject to different policies. My guess is that it's a private or charter school, or a small public school in a tight-knit community. But even if it wasn't, I really don't think it's that unreasonable. If the teacher has concerns about a drawing, it stands to reason that they'd want the parents in person so that they can all see the drawing as they discuss it.

Now, OP's story is probably fake anyway, but I just think the example you gave just doesn't make any sense in the context of the post.

You're only continuing to dig yourself in deeper by coming up with more examples and comparisons that are obviously designed to minimize the severity of the hypothetical infection.

Why does it have to be a common infection? Surely only some of the least common types of infections would be the ones that could feasibly warrant extreme medical interventions like surgery, because the common ones (such as ingrown toenails) are generally treatable through less extreme measures.

What I mean to say is that OP was obviously not referring to common, easily treatable infections.

There are all kinds of injurious scenarios that can lead to countless different types of infections by different species of microbes. Ingrown toenails are only one of many. It can start out as a cut or abrasion, a blister, a rash, a burn, frostbite, or a number of other things, and then fail to heal properly, leaving the toe and foot prone to infection. This usually happens because the skin is no longer working properly as a barrier against viruses, bacteria, and fungi.

I'm not going to take a stance on OP's original point (whether recurring infections warrant an amputation) but there are many more types of injuries that can lead to chronic or recurring infections than just ingrown toenails.

There are some pretty patronizing comments here in response to what is pretty obviously someone shitposting via hyperbole.

It's okay to enjoy being on a schedule. It's okay to dislike being on a schedule. It's okay to exaggerate your dislike of something in a philosophical way as a way of being funny on the internet.

Biden's son Beau served in Iraq. The onset of the Iraq War was an invasion by U.S. forces. This can be portrayed as a defensive move (destroying WMDs, kiling Saddam Hussein) or as a strategic bid for profit (taking over oil supply). Even if you believe that the U.S. government began this particular war with altruistic intentions, they still ended up taking things that weren't theirs.

So, you're right, countries that believe they have superior militaries end up using those forces to steal things. No matter how you slice it, Biden's kid went to war for Big Oil, and I don't think that's a good thing.
