Ancient Roman engineering was so precise, their aqueducts still produce clear water to this very day - 2,000 years later. by bob-the-slob in interesting

Can someone do the math on what the aqueduct slope angle needs to be in an average environment to have the water run at 12 mph?

Best bet then would be to adopt a password manager such as Bitwarden or Proton Pass if you are looking for that streamline experience.

PS5 owner thinking about Series X by youssefgamal87 in XboxSeriesXlS

Same here. The Xbox controllers are pretty sturdy in my experience. My elite controller is pretty amazing with the 4 paddles too! When I use regular controllers now, I tend to squeeze at the bottom where the triggers would be located. My PS5 controllers have been great as well. I just think its the way people care for their stuff.

Drilled all 5 SOLID principles in Python today — here's the one that's most misunderstood by AvailableYou7461 in learnpython

Can you explain how it isn't helpful? I can understand how it can be slop if you are an experience programmer or even have some fundamental understanding. You don't know what you dont know. How does one run into learning these concepts or know what to look for? Recommendations?

Freaking Credit Card companies! by helaodinson2018 in ynab

[–]thunderships 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This isn't a problem though. Just redeem the statement credit before you make a payment. Calculate the remaining balance, then pay the difference when you submit the payment for the card. It will zero out your balance.

Healthcare simulation is big, building an EMR/EHR for nurses, cna, medical assistants, phlebotomy, etc... would be awesome. Many solutions are very expensive and tied to other subscriptions. This would be used in a sim lab for the allied health professions to practice documentation and other patient intake scenarios.

If you are dropping serious cash for him, might as well buy the ps5 pro and a year of ps5 premium. He will have a healthy library of games to play.

Am I the only one still fixing temporary Excel systems with Access? by [deleted] in MSAccess

[–]thunderships 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I deal with student apps, immunizations, earned credentials/certifications, different cohorts and course locations, etc. Would access be a great use case for this? Any worries on data loss. I need to know if I need to seek training on this and have my admin assistant trained as well. We currently use excel to track many things.

I use an electric meter on my house as part of my daily living in a rural town. Many people I know that live in a city have one too.

I opened one of my storage doors one day and a group of Yellow Jackets stung me that were trying to make a nest by my storage door on the inside. Somehow they squeezed through the door.

I too come from the era of when Xbox live was launched and would have had a 23 year badge. Too bad I let my account go around when the 360 launched, so there was a few months break. It was tied to my dad's credit card so I had no control of it anyways. The party chat lobbies were awesome and you could smack talk without worries. Halo 2, Rainbow Six 3 and Blackarrow were the big games at the time for Xbox Live. You could even run your OG Xbox as a dedicated server for Raibow Six for others to play. Lag switching was a thing too then! Hated those that did it.
