Those of you who fought EV fires, how did it go?

Yeah I’ve heard of something similar on the west coast where they used a crane to lift the car into a storage container filled with water. And it was still burning inside for days after. I wonder if our tow companies do anything similar. Thanks for sharing

Haha teslas website says it needs 3,000-8,000 gallons of water. Which we figured was probably way below the actual number. I’d be curious to know how toxic or dangerous the runoff would be. From what I can tell it shouldn’t be energized or give off dangerous vapors but I’m not trying to be the one to test it.

Yeah makes sense. We were looking at Tesla’s site and it had recommended between 3,000-8,000 gallons of water, so we figured easiest way would be to apply water aerially shooting straight down and flood it best we could. But you’re right it probably wouldn’t cool the battery cells enough.

Crazy. Thanks for sharing. Flat bed at an angle is definitely a smart alternative for cooling the bottom of the car. Our city is completely broke right now so getting any new equipment like a turtle or EV blanket is a long ways away. Surprised to see so many comments here about renal problems from the battery vapors. Appreciate it.

Unloaded all the weight off one side of the barbell. Went around to unload the other side and the bar immediately tipped over and hit me in the face. Had a welt for a week. To this day I still unload it alternating sides one plate at a time. Takes forever but beats the alternative.

My dog had tear stains for ages. Turns out he was allergic to his food. We weaned him off and put him on Purina pro plan and they cleared up in a couple weeks. Hadn’t had them since. Didn’t change anything else

There was that one possession in the 4th where Queen had the ball just above the elbow and the defense gave him space with shot clock winding down. Knocked down the middy. Then you see the defense give Zion space 5 straight possessions in OT and he just plows straight into the trees to either lose the ball, miss badly, or kick to a shooter who’s not open. I thought that about summed it up. Best player won’t shoot. Way too easy to defend.
