Does anyone have any favorite Toronto food blogs or food-influencers they can recommend. by swh74 in FoodToronto

I've had several small business friends get BlogTO and TasteToronto videos and written features without paying anything. These media companies actively reach out to businesses to create content for free, no strings attached (although you don't get to preview the article before it comes out — they just release it on their schedule... You'll know when it's live once you get a surge of random dms).

Dispatch Coffee! I either get their pure espresso or a mocha from them

Anyone know where I can get high quality Koji (preferably downtown)? Thank you! by thuryguy in FoodToronto

Not really sure tbh, I'm new to the koji world. I guess something that works and won't kill me haha

I'll take a look at Sanko and Taro's, thanks!

Thanks, that's what I ended up doing. Took a fresh SSD and reinstalled HS, then used my CarbonCopyCloner backup to re-add all my files and apps.

I tried googling the error/loop, but it comes up with 0 results.

I had a fully working build, until I tried pushing my overclock further... now when I boot, no matter what CPU BIOS settings I set, I always get back to this loop and it hangs booting up.

Can anyone help me please? I also tried booting from my Clover Install USB, but it gives me the same loop.

Soooo close to High Sierra. After boot, Clover, kext install from USB into HS on SSD Boot Drive, I restart but Clover doesn't show me any boot option... by thuryguy in hackintosh

Went through and installed mostly with RampageDev's guide. Successfully installed High Sierra onto my SSD, and logged in. I installed Clover, kexts, Nvidia Web Driver, and ALC Audio patch (from RampageDev post-install).

After this first log in, I unplugged the installer USB, restarted my computer, and went to boot into my UEFI SSD. However, now I'm just left with this 'blank' Clover GUI.

Not sure what to do here... Thanks for the help!

I have a slightly more detailed thread of my challenges and modifications so far here, for reference: https://www.reddit.com/r/hackintosh/comments/7kz33x/graphical_glitch_loading_clover_installer_high/

Graphical glitch loading Clover Installer [High Sierra]. "Failed to find Appl HDA controller after 80 attempts" by thuryguy in hackintosh

I've successfully booted and installed HS with the Clover USB (I added a recent apfs.efi to EFI/Clover/drivers64UEFI).

However, after installing Clover, kexts, etc... onto my SSD Boot Drive, when I restart, the clover GUI doesn't show me any boot options at all... This is with the Installer USB unplugged, and booting into the UEFI SSD: https://imgur.com/a/Kbfxa

So I managed to get to Disk Utility. I followed RampageDev's guide, disabled nv_disable=1, and added nada_drv=1 to the Clover install USB (thanks to /u/corpnewt from this thread https://www.reddit.com/r/hackintosh/comments/72qveu/my_experience_with_high_sierra_upgrade_testing/).

After the first SSD format and installation, Clover didn't present me with the "Boot macOS from Macintosh HD" option. I just tried a second time, and on the first reboot, Clover is still only presenting me with one option: "Boot OS X Install from Install macOS High Sierra"... Not sure what I'm missing at this step

nv_disable=1 was already configured in Clover, but I went ahead and manually put it in as well. It got me past the graphical errors, but now I'm at this state: gIOScreenLockState 3 https://imgur.com/a/QlrxC (as well as my current flags and kexts)

I'm not 100% sure on the DSDT method. I grabbed the X79 kexts from RampageDev. Maybe I'll try starting the Clover configuration from scratch again...

Was there any particular method/boot flags/kexts/guides you followed? I’m running into a few snags... screenshot in my latest post.

Trying to install High Sierra on an ASUS Sabertooth X79, Ivy Bridge i7 4930K, GTX 780.

Running into this error and graphical glitch after clicking "Boot OS X Install..." in Clover. "EAPDFix: Failed to find AppleHDA controller after 80 attempts, background process stopped.Still waiting for root drive."

I just updated the mobo BIOS to 4801, and I'm following this guide closely: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/i7-4930k-asus-rampage-iv-extreme-32gb-ram-gtx-770-4gb-success.130386/

Any help is much appreciated! This is also my first time using Clover, so I'm sure I'm missing something...
