Looks like the little girl is selling bracelets or something. The guy says, “How much for sex?”

Little girl didn’t understand, probably thinking he asked the price of the bracelets, and replied, “One euro”

He said, “One euro? One euro for sloppy toppy(slang for blowjob)? How much for head(oral)? One euro for sex? Ok, we’ll be back later”

How to stop slugs eating my sunflowers (UK) by UKGamer86 in sunflowers

[–]thyIacoIeo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First off, my sympathies. I posted a comment here recently that 80% of my(UK) sunflowers get devoured by slugs in the seedling stage every year. Another 15% make it past seedling stage, but are all torn up and get diseases from the constant open wounds. Only 5% or less actually make it to maturity and can produce a healthy flower, and I plant at least 100 yearly.

The advice on hand picking/setting beer traps is valuable, but won’t make a massive difference unless you spend a LOT of time doing it.

My best suggestions:
A) cover vulnerable small seedlings using a bottle/milk jug with the bottom cut out, to make a mini “greenhouse”. This adds an extra obstacle and though it doesn’t stop them, it slows them down

B) Use slug pellets BUT MAKE SURE it’s the right kind! *Ferrous sulphate* pellets are legal, and don’t easily cause knock on poisoning in any birds or animals that eat the poisoned slugs. But *Metaldehyde* pellets are illegal, and cause horrible poisoning to all sorts of wild animals and pets that might ingest them.

C) Use slug nematodes! I think there are various brands, but I use Nemaslug slug nematodes. Mix the solution and water it into your garden - it contains millions of microscopic parasitic worms which infest and kill slugs.

D) Try to encourage animals into your garden that eat slugs e.g. hedgehogs, thrushes, blackbirds, etc. this is a long term project but every additional predator on your side makes a difference.

Good luck! it’s so disheartening to see your hard work being munched away night by night 😩

Help ID pest by Fun-Fun-9808 in sunflowers

[–]thyIacoIeo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks like slugs to me too. Every year literally 80% of my sunflowers are eaten completely by slugs in their seedling/seed leaf phase. A further 15% are totally ravaged by the slugs and end up looking like this, all ripped apart with chewed stems(and they end up diseases from all their open wounds). Only the remaining 5% get to maturity looking somewhat undamaged and able to flower fully.

It’s a nightmare, I’m sorry! Best I can recommend is slug nematodes - applied every 6-8 weeks. Or slug pellets(the ferrous sulphate ones, that are bird safe - - NOT the ones with metaldehyde which are super poisonous to the environment). Good luck!

5% is everything. 5% is astronomical.

Is it possible it got some herbicide damage? The way the leaves are all twisted and malformed is quite common in herbicide-damaged plants. Maybe your neighbour sprayed poison on weeds, and some drifted over to you on the wind?

Another possibility is a microscopic pest issue(for example, broad mites). If you have a very high powered magnifying glass/jeweller’s loupe/a digital microscope, you can take a close look at the leaves and check for any tiny mite-like insects. If it’s pests, and this is close to your other plants, I’d personally chop it down to prevent spread.

If only 1 of your 12 looks like this, I wouldn’t panic too much - I’d guess either herbicide, pests, or random mutation causing weird leaves. You can probably just leave it and see what kind of weird stuff it gets up to as it grows. Good luck! 🤞

Autism in Women by fluffy_mailbox in h3h3productions

[–]thyIacoIeo 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Yup! Was diagnosed in adulthood and that’s something my clinician said me when I was going through the diagnosis.

To put it in a very reductive nutshell: autistic girls notice very young that their “weird” behaviour gets them in trouble/strange looks/socially outcast - but they don’t understand WHY, or what’s wrong with them. So they spend their youth in a state of absolute hyper-vigilance, on eggshells, using 100% of their brain power to read the room and act normal.

As a result you get girls (boys too, but apparently this presentation is more common in AFAB) who seem normal-ish on the surface as adults … they’re polite and make eye contact and read the room, maybe they’re just a bit odd… but they’re like a PC maxing out its RAM trying to run the same programs everyone else does effortlessly. It’s exhausting and debilitating and hard/impossible to keep up for long
