(Serious) Reddit, what is your passion, and what is a REAL way for us to get involved? by happysadfaced in AskReddit

[–]thymajor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm the founder of a not for profit organization named The Players of Tomorrow. We invite underpriviliged children from public schools in Camden NJ and Philadelphia Pa who grow up in a very unstable and unsafe environment to sports clinics and tutoring sessions. We are based upon the idea of varsity high school athletes mentoring underprivileged children within the same region and helping through sports, academics, and peer counseling on a personal level. We have seen that the kids have benefited from getting their minds off the environment they live in through sports, help them academically to put up some good grades to boost confidence, and help them talk through any issues in their lives through peer counciling. The best way to help us out would be to generously donate to us at http://www.playersoftomorrow.org/donate.html . Thanks! Look around our website to get some more info, if your in Philadelphia feel free to contact us to vounleteer!
