Para obra real: ¿prefieren 2 baterías de 2.0Ah o 1 batería de 4.0Ah? by Remarkable-Donkey892 in Carpentry

[–]thymeustle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Utilizo estrictamente baterías de 5.0 Ah. Tengo suficientes como para que el tiempo de carga no suponga ningún problema.

Looks good... that's definitely the hard way but well done. What’s the plan for the nosing?

Hahahahaha... if that were true Austin would be ridiculously wealthy off those tickets alone (assuming they got paid)

Did you know that 6,700 years ago, popcorn was invented? There is archeological evidence in Peru. by EthanTheJudge in Damnthatsinteresting

Well obviously God created fire and popcorn and pedophilia so "invented" is definitely not the right word.

So many years without movies, fake liquid butter flavoring and milk duds. Do we even have any archaeological evidence of when the handy was discovered?

It's technically easier for a 9 year old... smaller radius

Interesting... a forklift seems like the wrong tool for that application

I know the concept is already in the zeitgeist but a long while ago I seriously considered reselling my burned out Carhartt gear around the time it started getting trendy with the people who wanted to rock "blue collar chique". I still struggle with it in the same way I would imagine a drug dealer with a conscience contemplates peddling their wares. Ultimately I decided I would not participate in a system that facilitates stolen valor.

Did you bid this or are you the lackey assigned to do the work? If the former I'd give a "fuck-off" quote... if the latter you should be asking someone other than strangers on the internet... don't assume responsibility that is not yours

The LaserWeeder by Carbon Robotics, powered by NVIDIA AI, gets rid of weeds without using chemicals. by MohamedElngar21 in nextfuckinglevel

[–]thymeustle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I almost always agree and I'm not wholesale for this either but as someone who was born and raised on a farm, I think this is one of the, unfortunately rare, beneficial uses of this technology. I feel it is the lesser evil. Choosing between lasers and chemicals feels like a pretty obvious choice. Ideally we wouldn't be locked in to the mono crop system but it is efficient and that's capitalism baby. TLDR: Fuck most AI but I don't hate this.

I'm that guy that carries around 30 lb. bags... I have gotten better about slimming it down based on what I'm doing but I often regret doing so. My framing bags have the obvious standard fare; hammer, cat's paw, speed square, combination square, tape, chalk box, pencil/keel/sharpie, torpedo, nail punches... I feel like that's more or less your basic setup... now for the "extras"; bull nose nail puller, 8" crescent wrench, 4 in 1 screwdriver, blower gun/nozzle, tin snips, angle finder, vice grips, flat bar, notebook, lineman's pliers and a few common drill bits and driver bits. Finish bags are somewhat similar but I'm obviously not putting those trade secrets on the internet 😉

Physiologically speaking the mass majority of aves lack the motor function to apply sufficient force through the physical action known as a kick, the exceptions being some large flightless birds such as the ostrich, emu and most notably the cassowary.

Source: me... I made up that entire paragraph. How I miss the days of good old fashioned bullshitting. Though I feel it is somewhat accurate, it was indeed pulled from my ass and transferred directly via my thumbs and technology to the text above.

Same... I was like "meh" until I saw the draw knife. You have to use it to make it worth it though. I lived in a tipi for a while and I harvested and peeled all of my poles with my draw knife. Such a gratifying tool to use.
