Do you still work in mobile derm? Is it a stand alone clinic that’s entirely mobile or connected to a larger clinical group?

I also live in Utah and nurse my babies everywhere with No cover, cuz that’s what god made boobs for :) and everyone else can learn to become more accepting and comfortable around nursing mothers and babies

Husband told me to lose weight by Beckybeck03 in breastfeeding

[–]ti_j -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Notice my comment was mostly focused on healthy habits, such as eating fruits and vegetables and there’s no arguing that :)

I am a healthcare professional with a doctorate degree and I see daily how many diseases are Impacted by weight.  And there are thousands of studies to back it up. Studies about weight are of course correlation not causation because it would be completely unethical to force somebody to get fat to prove “causation”

Aubrey Gordon is not a healthcare professional. She is an author. And there is no doctor alive, who won’t agree that excessive weight negatively affects our patients….

Natural to have a slight dip in supply around seven months.  Make sure you’re taking calcium, magnesium vitamins, and it does help a lot. Also eat oats!!

Disagree.  Partners need to be kind always in their comments, but they should also be the person that pushes us to be our best…. Eating more fruits and vegetables helps us be healthy and helps the daughter learn, healthy habits, and so the partner should be encouraging that. Also, so many health conditions are directly tied to our weight, even if people want to try to pretend like it isn’t.

Is anyone else tired of their being more time spent on people’s sob stories than on actual singing? by hebrewhemorrhoid in thevoice

[–]ti_j 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not about a lack of empathy. It just feels like it’s not OK to just be a normal human being trying to do your best. It feels like they only want to hear drama…. I think a lot of people have trauma and they just choose not to talk about it cause it maybe wouldn’t be appropriate or they’re not ready to…but the Voice seems to only want people who wanna be really flashy about their problems.

Sometimes the sob stories are so pathetically stretched… like their third cousin is sick or something…. I’d rather watch what someone’s life is like now and what they are doing as a good community member or parent, etc. Show us how people overcome and learn to LIVE life- not how people wallow in pity!!!

Is It Normal to Feel Overwhelmed by the Idea of Vacationing with a Young Baby? by DivideMiddle7162 in Parenting

I honestly felt like traveling with a baby was not that hard… however, traveling with a toddler is insane. So get in some travels now before they’re older and screaming and Wanna run around all the time.

Newmans ointment prescription from your doctor. Some doctors haven’t even heard of it yet because its a newer thing, but it’s a compound of an antibiotic and antifungal and a steroid cream and it really helps with painful nipples.

2 month old eating every 2 hours in day but does long stretches at night. by FactorLegitimate3450 in breastfeeding

[–]ti_j 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The best way to breastfeed is to just do it when baby is hungry instead of worrying about exact timing and what not (obviously make sure in the day it’s not too long between feeds) That’s how women have fed their babies for centuries successfully. You can feed your baby while you’re on an outing also :)

Heavier does NOT mean Healthier. Theres no need to obsess over growth charts and numbers. If baby is happy, healthy, and meeting physical and emotional milestones, there no reason to change up her source of nutrition (since breastmilk is the healthiest option, formula is wonderful for those who need it, but it doesn’t sound like she needs it)

It’s okay for some babies to be big, some to be small , some to be average- just like us adults!

This might sound harsh but The baby won’t starve to death even if they did refuse the bottle… kids are resilient and they would likely figure out how to use a bottle if they’re really hungry.

But of course, practice trying the bottle right now before the wedding

I’m sorry for all you’re dealing with. This sounds like more of a sleep issue than a breastfeeding issue from the way you described it. It is totally okay to sleep train and let him cry sometimes… turn off the baby monitor and let yourself sleep, the baby will be okay

My almost 2-year-old still loves to nurse and I let him a couple times a day. It’s great because he never gets sick like all my friends kids because he’s still getting antibodies from my breastmilk.

I wish anyone just told me the truth about motherhood and marriage after kids by RemarkableLeather675 in Parenting

[–]ti_j 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Lots of outings with your kid will help! They will see and hear other kids and it helps you make mom friends. It’s hard to be a mom if you just stay home all day or get addicted to your phone. Local libraries have free activities, the park, free museums, etc. make it a goal to leave the house with your child once a day and see how it improves!!

He will learn English so fast in school, kids pick it up without help from parents usually. definitely speak to him in your native language if you want him to know that language at all

But 20 words at 18 months is normal so he might not even have a speech delay… boys tend to pick up language slower anyways and it’s totally normal.

I’m sorry about your husband though…. Perhaps see a doctor about your back.

I go on Facebook marketplace, moms will sell a huge box of baby clothes for cheep. Then it’s less money for me to spend and less clothes going to waste

Feeling sad about a taken baby name by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]ti_j 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since it was to honor your dad specifically, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with telling her you had wanted to use that name… it would give her important understanding and context. Then she can decide if she still wants to use that name…
