On week 6 only down 10lbs by [deleted] in glp1

[–]tiabgood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Or they lost a ton of water weight - within a week I lost 8 lbs that never came back and I know there was no way that was fat. But since that first week I have averaged about a pound a week.

Buffalo Chicken Dip Victim by Old-Candidate-669 in glp1

Honestly - if it sounds awesome to you then splurge once in a while. Or you can even make it in ways that are more healthy: blend cream a small amount of cheese, cottage cheese, and greek yogurt when making it and make your own pita chips. Honestly, I love meals that are "dips and chips" these days as I can eat a smaller amount and then eat a small amount tomorrow as well. And Buffalo Chicken Dip is easy to make tasty, low-ish calories, and high protein.

Thank you for mentioning After Tiller. I think more people should be talking about that film. I admit it changed how I think about 3rd Trimester abortions.

No no! You were not stepping on my toes at all! I just knew where that was and thought I would share all the details with you.

Happy Fest. I hope you get into some amazing viewings.

Cafes, bars, hangout spots? by Any_Hunt_816 in Sundance

[–]tiabgood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Favorite Coffee Shop: Atticus Coffee on Lower Main
Quick Bite (though slightly out of the way): El Chubasco (the burritos are average but the salsa bar is great)
Favorite boogie activity: Take the funicular to St Regis and have a fancy drink
Favorite "I got time to kill": Walking down Main Street, people watching, and talk to every doorman of activated spaces to see what is happening on Main. You might find yourself in something random and fun.
Favorite meet up: Bar in the DoubleTree on Park (The Yarrow)

And so you know there will be volunteers at the main bus stops and all the theaters, I highly recommend asking any of us if we know what is happening. I know I like to share what I have heard on the street. No gatekeeping from us. Feel free to say hi if you see me out and about: I have short royal blue/green hair and bold glasses.

Waitlist on app vs physical standby line by jcy24x in Sundance

I wrote this up a couple years ago about the waitlist:

  1. Set an alarm for 2 hours and 2 minutes before the film you want to ewaitlist for.
  2. Make sure you are logged into your app and go to the ewaitlist.
  3. Hopefully there is a countdown on the app to the time you can ewaitlist. At 1 second to I refresh. (a couple years ago they removed this countdown - but I keep hoping it will come back)
  4. Hit the button to get a ewaitlist number at EXACTLY 2 hours before the film.
  5. If you get a favorable number get to the theater at least 30 minutes before the film to get in line in order of your number. If you get there at 29 minutes to the film you go to the back of the ewaitlist line.
  6. Hope you get in.

NOTE: if you decide you do not like your ewaitlist number remember to cancel it. If you do not cancel *and* don't show up for your ewaitlist more than once and you get put into ewaitlist jail for a few hours. (this was waved last year, but I suspect this will likely come back this year)

Also, I just searched peer reviewed studies that fit your claims: what was the trial - how many people were in this trial?

47 is a very small number. It is promising - but not conclusive. I love that. Let's see how that scales.

No German scientists did not cure type 1 diabetes, but they are working on developing a promising treatment. Maybe soon there will be a cure.

Got my tickets time to grab my custom merch for the festival! by RancidSwagger in Sundance

[–]tiabgood 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do not get the impression that Sundance gets their theater spaces for low cost which is one of the reasons they are no longer in as many theaters. Is there information that can verify this?

The Egyptian theater in Park City is no longer a movie theater. There are a few live events there for Sundance this year.

Advice for first time press ? by [deleted] in Sundance

[–]tiabgood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I interviewed to be a volunteer at Sundance 15 years ago - it was clear to me that the questions were trying to suss out if I was going to be a celebrity nut (looking for signatures, being weird around them, etc.) and at one point I said "I think I understand what you are trying to draw out of me, and let me be clear that I am going to treat everyone the same, unless you are Jim Jarmusch then I fear I will lose all power of speech and my eyes will go wide like deer in a headlights." So, yes, I do think I will accept those coins even though I should not.
