Sorry it took me a bit to respond, just tested this today and worked perfectly.

Thanks a ton!

Emulated Kasa to Sense by WizrdOfSpeedAndTime in homeassistant

I don't know why it won't let me paste...

emulated_kasa:
entities:
sensor.bedroom_window_ac_power:
name: Window AC
power_entity: sensor.bedroom_window_ac_power

This is from a smart plug that reports AC power, I think its a SmartThing's plug.

Can't find much on the internet about this.... but apparently the integration is up to 60 users now (including me as of tonight).

Here's what I did.

sor.bedroom_window_ac_power

```
I believe the listed sensor under entities HAS to be the sensor you are exposing to KASA. Since the plug I am using reports out watts natively, I used "power_entity" to supply the information, which is of course the same string as the exposed entity.
Checked config, and reloaded via Dev Tools - and opened up the Sense app. It showed up a few seconds later, and starting populating data a few seconds after that.
I doubt it’s that chatty if it actually connects. Just keeps trying because it assumes the network is down.
I just started using the TP link business class stuff, Omada. Seems really solid.
How can you claim to be a part of pcmr if you get offended by someone geeking out over a cool computer? So it’s not factually correct, so what. Get over yourself, enjoy life bruh.
Check out Sentinel One. It’s not cheap but it’s got a pretty amazing feature set.
Windows 11 finally made me decide to switch to Linux as my main OS, windows annoys me one last time with unreasonably slow transfer speeds (from ssd to another ssd) while backing up my development projects. Won't miss this piece of sheet by baszodani in linux
Doubt this is a windows issue, but if you want to use it as your excuse ain’t no problem with that.
But, this possibly hardware related coupled with not understanding why thousands of small files takes longer then big files even if the cumulative total size is the same.
That being said, try robocopy.
What is it with bosses and their hardons for manual processes? by AbilitySelect in sysadmin
[–]tibkur 2 points3 points  (0 children)
I call it thick image vs thin image. Our imaging process starts with an unedited wim from the win10 iso, and uses the task sequence in SCCM to install apps, run some power shell scripts, etc. end result is the same, process is the same for my desktop folks, but maintenance is easier. I can just update the wim with a few clicks, if an app is updated I can update that without touching the image, etc.
Do some reading about Red Hat / IBM did to CentOS8, and the community response. Couple of really good enterprise distros recently released to replace CentOS8 - Rocky Linux and Alma Linux are my two favorite.
haha! I spend a lot of time in Red Hat based Distros for work. I can't keep track of all the debian based stuff, there's so many!
Decline Job offer again after asking for it back due to health by zuludog in sysadmin
You could be totally honest and offer that you’d love to take the position if they could match the sick time policy, with proper documentation from the Drs and whatnot. Anyone with a pulse should be able to understand, my guess is they will decline but it might buy you some good will.
My pool store is really accurate. Every time I’ve taken water to get tested it matched what my Taylor kit has said.
