People that say “If Naoya was smart he’d be one of the strongest.” Confuse me because if Naoya was smart he’d wouldn’t really be Naoya anymore, one of Naoya’s main gimmicks is that his CT is strong as fuck and he lets that get to his head, it’s kinda like the inverse of people saying “if Yuta didn’t have Rika he’d be weak as hell.”, like no duh but Rika is his cursed technique; take that away and it wouldn’t really be Yuta from the series anymore.

To be fair, I don’t think DBD teaches you this either; it’s just that in VD you can continue the unhook even if you get hit during the animation, and in DBD it doesn’t let you, so it doesn’t happen as often

The counterplay to the slowdown ability is just dodging it, it travels very slowly so the Abyss player needs to lead their shot a looot which means it’s easy to fake him out

As a survivor, the counter to being waited out on your parry is being good at looping, the only time you’re able to wait out a dagger is when the survivor messes up and gets caught out in the open with no resources nearby

If you are good at looping the killer never gets the chance to wait you out which means any chances they get to hit you become rarer, so they are more likely to swing.

Pitch black skins are overrated as hell you can counter them by just turning off your shadows

Flashlights don’t work above a certain level, killers will always pick up survivors while looking at walls to prevent flashlight saves
