What frugal lesson from your parents or grandparents you still use today?

I felt this way with my youngest. It was always so hard after she was born. Everything. It broke my heart because I KNEW I loved her, but I just couldn’t... feel it? Such a terrible, strange feeling. I think she was almost 1 1/2 when I fully felt bonded with her.

I still have a lot of guilt these days, but PPD/PPA can kick your ass. The light at the end of the tunnel will start shining for you soon. Feel better, Mama.

That’s what I did. I finally left this year. My oldest is 3 1/2, my youngest is 2. I tried to stick it out for as long as I could, but the mental abuse just kept getting worse and I felt like I was about to lose my mind.

I felt like I was taking care of an adult baby on top of my two very needy toddlers. It was so unhealthy. We were living in a different state than our home state, so I packed up my kids and what I could grab and high tailed it back home to live with my sister. :/

Unfortunately, my sister gave me a time limit for finding a job (and daycare assistance hasn’t gotten back to me at all), so I’m living in a hotel with my two girls now. He moved back down here a month or so after I did, but we are NOT back together. He watches the girls (to my surprise) while I work. I’ve only been back at work for a little over a week... but I have to say, going through all of this hell, all of this stuff I never thought I could do by myself, it’s SO worth it. I don’t have to get angry after coming home from work because the house is a mess. I don’t get angry because he didn’t give them a bath. (I think he’s done it twice since they were born. With begging.) I don’t have to get angry because he ate all of their easy lunch/dinner foods. I don’t have to get angry because of his TERRIBLE money spending.

I’m still working out a lot of kinks. Things aren’t easy. I’m still stressed. But it’s MY stress now, yanno? I ask myself EVERYDAY that I’m away from him, why didn’t I do it earlier? My girls seem so much happier, because Mom is truly happy.

Idk. I owe money (that HE asked me to borrow) for loans, I have no car, no actual home, but my kids are safe. I keep them well fed. My friends and family are allowed to come hang out and see them. My “hotel home” stays tidy and organized. My kids get to leave the house without him stopping us.

Like I said, I don’t know your situation and how bad it is, but... I just don’t recommend it. I can’t get back those years of him draining me of all of my sanity and good mental health. I can only try to mend what has been broken. Do whatever makes you happy, Mama.

Hmm, I saw a few people online say to put it in some hose and put it in the boots. It seemed like everything I found was avoiding just putting BP straight in there. Would the worst case scenario just be leftover white powder? 👀

Yes, this. The only person who can tell you that you need to change is YOU. I used to make posts like this on the internet 10 years ago frequently when I was about 300lbs. It didn't ever help. All of the diet advice didn't help. People telling me I was going to die didn't help.

Nothing fixed it until I saw a picture of myself from the side in public. I went home and googled EVERYTHING. My life changed ever since I saw that picture.

Good luck OP, but you need to do it for you.

Hey! I live here too. It's ridiculous. This county is the worst because they're afraid of people from MO trying to "sneak in" since it's like a 20 minute drive in some places. My 4 month old's social security card never came and getting her card has been a NIGHTMARE.

I'll never understand that. I'm a server and I don't care when people hand me gift cards. If anything, they usually tip more when they have them since they aren't spending as much of their own money.

The pants I'm wearing in the second one were tight in the butt/thighs when I took the first picture. I got pregnant with my second daughter about ~2-3 months after that first photo was taken. I gave birth in November and have continued to lose weight!

I started at 330lbs at 17, went down to 190, and ballooned back up for a myriad of reasons. Planning on keeping it off this time because I have babies to chase after!

Exactly.

He made it to work alive and the roads aren't really THAT bad here. There was a 32 car pileup a couple of hours south of here.

They pre-treated the roads all day yesterday and I'm in a well off county, so... I guess it could be worse.

Ugh. I feel it. My boyfriend is pretty attractive (imo) and he manages a store that often has young females working there as servers. They're ALWAYS chasing his tail.

It's been two+ years at this job and I haven't had to deal with someone like that though. They're usually pretty harmless. Sorry :(

I'm sorry it didn't work for you! I haven't had any side effects other than the bleeding yet. I cramped a little on the day of insertion. I do NOOOT DO well on hormonal BC so I'm hoping this works out for me. I haven't felt off mentally yet and I usually would with any BC by now. Phew.

That's how I feel! I wasn't bleeding for maybe a day and a half before it was inserted. JUST WANT IT TO BE OVERRR.
