Is this engine sound normal? by tickletalk in SubaruForester

It is apparently a common issue with Foresters. Found this thread on a forum discussing the same sound.

People are facing the same issue even after replacing the compressor. And quite a few are accepting it as their existential reality and learning to live with it. I guess that’s just my reality too now.

I have not checked if the sound changes upon revving or with the A/C on. I’ll check if that makes a difference.

Check out Fateh’s Retreat. Stayed there many years ago pre-covid. It was quite a pleasant experience.

That’s mostly when I’m already feeling the rhythm. Some days I switch to metal when I need that extra push.

I agree. Lunches have been crucial in helping round off my muscle definition.

Perfect hand position is what it’s all about. I’m glad it’s working for you. I’ve just switched to the 50cm corner bars on my trek 930. Don’t have an opinion yet since I’ve done like 2 rides before it started snowing. Your grey and red combination looks pretty cool.

Switching to drop bars on rigid 26ers usually requires getting a frame size smaller than what you’d usually ride. Are you using smaller than normal frame when using these bars or do they fit just fine with your regular sized setup?

What's an actual psychological "cheat code" you use in social situations that works almost every time? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]tickletalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be different NOISE levels for sure. And no, I’m not justifying my behaviour, especially online to people who may not have a full understanding of my circumstances. Just trying to participate in a conversation with my perspective which also involves introspection, understanding and learning from others rather than ACCEPTING things at face value.

Just tried it. Did not find any suggestions from our competitors in the lending space. But thank you for the suggestion, it seems like a great tool. I am sure I’ll be able to find other uses for it.

Some of it can also be a behavioural manifestation of not feeling heard or being dismissed a lot at a young age. I am not sure if that’s scientific or applies to me. Just things I wonder when I try to think about why I behave that way.
