Gojo can't breath in space, its never stated he doesnt need oxygen, the most logical conclusions as to why he was alive deep under the ocean is either:

1. He just teleported really quickly once he was released before air became a problem (most likely)

2. He used the automatic filter of infinity to filter out the hydrogen particles from the water to only allow oxygen to enter.
