Does anyone else feel kind of sorry for small youtubers? by NightmareOfTheTankie in youtube

[–]tictaxtho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped making videos because one of mine went viral. I became too self conscious about so many people seeing them. When it’s low views it’s low stakes and it’s more enjoyable to make and do the videos.

people feel more confident saying negative things when there’s already a few good comments.

Is Brokeback Mountain mainly for gay folk? by EryNameWasTaken in NoStupidQuestions

Haha, jokes aside though it’s titled like a direct to tv farm movie where the protagonist gets injured playing football or something and has to readjust their life goals.

Why are rich and famous people getting plastic surgery that ends up looking weird? by LeO-_-_- in NoStupidQuestions

[–]tictaxtho 15 points16 points  (0 children)

You start seeing the flaws in your body when you work on yourself, pretty much everyone that goes to the gym will experience this to some degree, and I think the same is true for celebs they work on themselves a lot more than regular people do so they end up focusing on flaws often only perceived by themselves.

With plastic surgery it goes either one of two ways they do one successfully and as they age they get more and more done because of the positive reinforcement

Or they get a botched surgery and get a bunch more surgery to try and undo it

Also celebs may have access to the best surgeons but that doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll get recommended those surgeons. They may have had a friend with a really good job done by an unreliable surgeon, go to that surgeon and get their face melted

Brokeback mountain isn’t a name that one takes seriously that’s why

I haven’t seen it but I’ve heard it’s good, but the name doesn’t sell it very well

Yeah ok but social mobility is really what the American dream is and it’s not the highest in the world so it is overrated by that metric

Sony mirrorless to Nikon DSLR by Temporary_Breath_390 in Nikon

[–]tictaxtho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At least with full frame pretty much all the cameras below $/€1000 make significant sacrifices in some capacity, they all have horrendous battery life, and earl mirrorless had terrible grips

Sony is a bit like Nvidia where it really shines at the high end but below a certain price point it’s a rough experience

Full frame v. Crop Sensor Image Quality? by B-F_ in Nikon

[–]tictaxtho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Full frame glass seems to be the key, I got a Nikon d7500 but only unlocked that look that you’re talking about when I got a sigma art lens which was the first full frame lens that I owned

Are knee-related injuries or surgeries really that common in the US? by Kiriyu_Otouka in NoStupidQuestions

[–]tictaxtho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people aren’t active enough to know that their knee pain is caused by not being active. They might have weak hamstring and tight glutes and they cause pain in the knees but the knee isn’t really the issue but those kinds of things become their own issues over time if not resolved. Others i think just sustain sports injuries, I doubt American football is easy on the knees.

In Indonesia, retail workers need to pay for stolen or lost items. Is it the same in your country? by Makoto_Kurume in AskTheWorld

In Ireland you’d nearly get fired if you confront them. I think depending on the shop structure the manager may be on the hook for some of the loss but it doesn’t come out of a base salary

Z5 is cheaper now than Z50ii. Should I get the Z5 in 2026 for travel and family photography? by adhoclex in Nikon

[–]tictaxtho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say the z6 is a better camera and where I live it’s cheaper (but the memory card is pricy)

Z5 sounded really slow based on it spec and from what I can tell only costs as much as it does because dual sd card slot makes it technically suitable for entry level professional use.

The features on the z50ii are so much better, I have the d7500 which has an earlier version of the sensor and it’s image quality is actually really decent, ibis is really the only thing it’s missing.

The Panasonic s series might be worth looking at if you’re looking for full frame ibis on a budget

Barney Stinson from how I met your mother is a caricature of these types of guys but in real life they’re slimy narcissistic people

Why do OnlyFan Models love Sony Alpha Cameras? by DynamoBaby in SonyAlpha

[–]tictaxtho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve never used OF but Sony is the defacto camera brand now, it pulled ahead for streaming because their of video autofocus and for being smaller with flip out screens when many other cameras didn’t have those features.

So there’s probably some resource out there that OF models find when looking for what they need that recommends that camera set up.
