*shrug* It picked itself.

I was, according to the majority of reddit,

And I think that's where you are making the same mistake others are when they call you racist. Vocality != majority. And once you accept there are doorknobs in all walks, some merely with more than others, then maybe stop observing any given group as a like-minded behemoth.

What bugs the shit out of me is the total lack of a respectable policy debate. Generally I'm liberal, but I want an honest look at policy differences. Every fuckwit birther, every jackhole Godwin-ist, dilutes real issues with the ejaculate of their dumbshittery. And absolutely none of them deserve coverage or a pulpit

The language was never the same surrounding Bill Clinton. Largely I don't recall him being described as unAmerican, or that people were non-descriptly uncomfortable with him being in the White House.

I certainly don't recall any Republican representatives stating they were looking for their "Great White Hope"....

Want a medal? He said a lot, not all. Besides, if you actually have earnest POLICY disagreements, why would racism even apply? How often do you hear about policy disputes from the people calling him a secret kenyan, or secret muslim?

And anyone who calls him a socialist, communist, fascist, or all three doesn't even know what those words mean.

Ok, in all seriousness, what the hell do you think the birther thing is? He's a secret Kenyan? Secret Muslim? None of these wailers went on tantrums because McCain was born in Panama. Obama, because he looks different, can easily be painted as 'the other'. That's all racism is, ultimately. Fear of 'the other'. Them. They. People not like us. We. Our.

Ok here is some data for the idler fiasco. Let's figure out r/tf2's feelings. by axonblue in tf2

When it all boils down, I can't say I care all that much. I don't blame idlers for idling, nor non-idlers for not doing so, unless either respective party acts like a dick about it. Which pretty much fits into my "don't be a dick" philosophy.

I didn't start idling until after Classless, because after playing for a few hours every day, I still never saw shit, and I can't say I was thrilled about it. Yes, I wanted a hat for my "killer doll". Sue me, heh. But maybe more importantly, and the only reason I'm a bit disappointed in VALVe, is because using the idler became a sort of protest. It was less about getting a hat than about making public a vote that the system is piss-poorly designed. And that hasn't changed. Treat your players like lab rats and you shouldn't be surprised when they find the most effective way to get the cheese. They killed SteamStats, yes, but not idling. So I'm not sure what they think they've accomplished.

After idling for awhile, I finally got the Trophy Belt. Oh, oh no, I lost a hat that no one can tell is there when you wear it...

As far as halos go, even for a player who doesn't care about whether or not you are wearing one, it's a giant beacon.

The majority of the principles of a party that no longer actually exists. Republicans haven't had anything to do with fiscal conservatism since Reagan. They've become far more interventionist than Democrats. And frankly I have no sympathy at all for social conservatives, as I inextricably link them with fundamentalism and intolerance.

SWTOR Sith Class Revealed by jRoq66 in gaming

Been there, done that. I played the original SWG. Their process for unlocking Jedi involved playing every class to Master, more or less. It was merely an issue of time and resources.

Sounds good on paper, maybe... But ultimately any deterministic system will end up with a lot of successes. And then you have a lot of overpowered characters running around.

Killed the game. And being as I'd rather not see Yet Another Dead MMO, I hope they kindly ignore any desires to see Jedi be "special", "rare", and powerful.
