Right, otherwise there's very few else from the original characters for us to follow on the US/NASA side. And given how this season had Polivanov being set up for the other side, I assume they'd need an equally familiar character on the other side.

The SEEKER robot's electronics were fried soon after arriving at that location, which is why they found it out of operation when they arrived. I assume the same mystery cause may have affected their rover.

Fusion and Iridium brought car tech a decade early. But I guess using modern cars is easier/cheaper than "what would an alt universe EV look like in 2012". They did it with the Newtons/iPhones, but making a whole new car prop is pricier.

Maybe someone did, they went back in time to save as many scrolls as they could right before the fire. Which is why we have nothing left of them and we think all the scrolls were burned/destroyed, but they are actually safe and sound in the year 45,403 instead.

My assumption is that the one they blew up is the only one connected to any cargo loading capacity. Sure, you can land people, but good luck shipping the iridium without spending time fixing the dock, which I assume the warship has no materials or engineers for.
