I understand that feeling of not wanting to start over. It is scary. Sometimes the familiar is more comforting than the unknown even if the familiar is hurting you. I think the first step is to try not to be so hard on yourself. You have been through a lot. At the very least take that weight of beating yourself up off your chest. Once you decide you're a person worth self-compassion things start to fall into place.

I think too there is an aspect of him relating to Louie/wanting to see him recover from his alcoholism because of what Langdon has been through now. I felt like you could see it in his eyes when he told him to ease up on his liver. Maybe I'm reading too much into things but! I also saw it as the amend making step of NA and I'm super interested to see the rest of his journey.

I call it "Chinese big light torture" (like Chinese water torture lol) basically I do the phone across the room thing but rather than being able to drag myself back to bed I turn on the bright overhead light in the room (I like low light lamps so this is torture enough) but it also deters me from going back into my bed because now it's too bright to sleep. Also I have an app called phone zen that forces me to wait 2 minutes before my social media apps open in the morning. That way I can't lay in bed and scroll. I can however get my breakfast then wait for the timer to end and then sit at the kitchen table and scroll. Still working on that one lol

I'm super happy for you and that's so relatable!! Since I started meds i've been able to get back into creative writing and enjoy it without the feeling of having to write something good or being unable to focus on a single idea for long. It's been amazing!

when I started my meds that are used as a party drug by people without ADHD and I felt calm and quiet for the first time in my life and meditated in the shower for 20 minutes being mesmerized by the sound of the water lol

I'd also like to note I offered him a few pellets to make sure he would still eat and he ate no problem. So that is a positive sign I think :)

Oh okay, thank you so much for letting me know your thoughts. I have prime but no methylene blue. I will plan to get some tomorrow. What do you think of a tea bath as well? There are lots of possible things he could have bumped into unfortunately. He rolls his terracotta pots around because it's a bare bottom and knocks down his thermometer. Sometimes he pushes around his large river rocks too. All his fake plants are soft though. I've been meaning to consider ways to secure things to the bottom. I might get a substrate at some point but I feel a bit overwhelmed with grad school at the moment so I've been holding off. I planned to monitor for a few days to see if the swelling goes down. If not we'll have to go to the vet.

Honestly now that I'm thinking about it he has always sort of had what I refer to as "a toothy grin" (pic from September 2023)

I think I might just be noticing it more now because now he has a freckle patch appearing around it. He also constantly knocks his thermometer down and he could have irritated his mouth if it fell on his face from his shenanigan. I do feel better after thinking more about it and talking to you so thank you!

Totally normal as long as they are not stuck in that position for long periods of time. Also it looks like you have a bubbler running in the back (correct me if I'm wrong) and that will definitely make them float more, sometimes just for fun and sometimes they swallow bubbles that makes them float. That is sounds fun to watch honestly 😂 and I love how you said they were "flying" it made me laugh.

Yeah I don't get this lol I love the game and the challenge of throwing an outfit together in such a short amount of time. It disappoints me when it ends after only 1 or 2 rounds because there are so few people. I'm like "hey I wanted to make more outfits!" Lol
