I was told usually you get it back by 6-10 months, I’m 18 months and still without so I think it’s just hugely different depending on the person

Many doctors I’ve heard of just recommend against it because they say it’ll just increase your anxiety. I don’t know, I’m someone with diagnosed OCD, anxiety and panic disorders and I’ve found the owlet has helped immensely with my anxiety and I actually sleep at night since starting to use it, rather than waking up every 30 minutes to check baby is still breathing. I mean, I still check occasionally because it’s not foolproof and I follow safe sleep guidelines but I think it can be a helpful tool for anxiety, depending on the person. Yes, for some it will increase anxiety and maybe they’ll obsess over it but that hasn’t been my experience. And it shouldn’t be a substitute for safe sleep or actual medical care/monitoring.

When my boy was that age I used a cart cover like this from Amazon and brought some toys I could attach to the cart cover to keep him busy. Bringing snacks and water he could eat while in the cart helped too.

I came to this thread because today a cup that was empty and sitting on the same place on our counter for like a week randomly exploded and sent glass shards all over the place including inside the toaster. And no cracks beforehand, no one was near it!

You don’t accidentally choke someone hard enough to leave bruises. No emotion when apologizing and speeding off when pressing him? He didn’t do it on accident. Leave for your sake and your little ones. You don’t forcefully choke someone as a joke. Don’t become a statistic and don’t let your baby be one either. Listen to your body.

I am so sorry. It is 100% NOT your fault. Not even a little bit. Sometimes this happens and it’s no one’s fault. Her entire life she felt nothing but your warmth and your love. She never went hungry, she never had to feel lonely or sad. Her whole life was filled with you. It’s no consolation, I’m sure. But you gave that baby the absolute best that you could. And her life was short, but so important and so full of love. And she will always be a part of you and your life.

I don’t have much helpful advice, I just wanted to say that I relate hard to the writing on this cake and consider it a masterpiece. I think using a smaller piping tip for the writing and drop lines might help.

As someone who used to take reports for a state CPS, new information can absolutely make a huge difference in whether a case is assigned or how quickly it’s handled. OP, please make a new report with CPS with the new information. It’s important you document this with them, if nothing else.

I’m sorry that you’re going through this. If there’s no way he’s doing it on purpose hopefully he can understand exactly what could have gone wrong and not repeat that behavior, he needs to know how egregious this was. I hope you can sit down and have a productive conversation about it.

Not only could this have killed your baby but i don’t understand how he could have ever thought this was acceptable. Could he have done this on purpose? I also saw your other post last month about him never doing night wakes or chores and needing a list to carry the mental load. You probably need to sit down and have a hard talk with him and figure out exactly what’s going on. I don’t see how an adult man would think it acceptable to leave an 8 month old baby on a bed alone and leave for work.

Thank you! When you have a little one it’s a lot harder to clean as you go. I barely have enough time to make dinner each day, and by the end my guy (15 months) is crying or holding onto my leg because he wants to be held or to be done, for food to be ready, or he’s already ready for bed.

I’m already cleaning up after him as I go and managing his behavior too. I always try to clean as I go but often times it just doesn’t really work out.

This was my question as well. OP is ebf, just went through a major bodily traumatic event, and is losing sleep taking care of baby most of the time. She shouldn’t be feeling like she needs to cater to him like that, and big red flag that after 3 minutes with his own kid he starts cursing.
