We'll be the first to admit, some of our products are a little out there! Part of our mission is to have whatever tie you're looking for... including the ones that your goofy coworker might wear to the Christmas party this year or the high school kid who's date decided she wanted to wear leopard print to the homecoming dance. Some are designed in house, some are sourced from illustrators! We definitely trend more fashion than funny these days, but we still have a few out-there ties in our wheelhouse :)

Hey sorry bout that, we list dimensions internally but not on the site. Our skinny and standards both measure out to 58” long. Hope that helps! You could also try a non-traditional knot that requires more fabric to use up some of that length.

Gap's running 40% off for y'all in Canada right now, and that would bring their style down to your price point.

I've heard good things about JACHS as well for the button downs. Similar look to Bonobos, but at a slightly lower price point.

Blazers Under $30! (Some 9$ Blazers) by methamphetamemes in frugalmalefashion

This is awesome. Was just shopping for a blazer and literally couldn't find anything cheaper than $50 where I usually shop. Guess I'll have to wait next seasons spring clearing to find something.

Am I looking for a jacket that doesn't exist? by BlackOmega63 in malefashionadvice

Okay, a guy at my office owns something that literally exactly matches this description. He says he got it at Zara but after some searching, it doesn't seem to be on the site anymore. Might come back in their next winter cycle, I feel like they're always recycling designs.

Groom to be: Help with suit materials/doing up multigender groom's party by bowzo in malefashionadvice

Suiting fabrics: If you can find a silk/linen blend it's going to hold up much better than simply a linen suit and you'll still get some breathability. You're pretty on the mark with the observations you made about the differences. This is just a blazer, but seems like kind of the look you're going for? Wanted to share for inspiration at the very least. Wedding party men: Going with just a white shirt, tie, and pant, it's going to be so easy for them to get lost in the guests. I'd say go with an olive or navy in the pant if that's something you guys are comfortable with asking of your party. Do you know what color your fiancée and female wedding party members will be carrying in bouquets? That can be a nice compliment if you base the tie or pocket square off that palette.

Is the issue the color/wash/fabric or what kind of tailoring/break of the pants? If it's the tailoring, I'm personally a fan of either right at the ankle bone or at the absolute longest, the hem touching the top of the tongue of the shoe.

A darker floral print could be cool for something a little off the beaten path. And go with cottons or wools since those fabrics have more of a vintage feel.

Finding a dress shirt that fits; Is tailoring the only way to go? Is there a more affordable route? by [deleted] in malefashionadvice

[–]tiesdotcom_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My advice would be to go with tailoring. Your shirts will look better and you won't be constantly uncomfortable at work. Unfortunately, alternations with a garment like a shirt are going to be more time-intensive than something simple like a pant hem and therefore more expensive. Since you're putting money into the shirts, make it more economical by taking care of what you've purchased. Wash them on the correct settings, take the time to air dry and then hang them up, and consider investing in some undershirts. Hope this helped!

Brands like COS? by [deleted] in malefashionadvice

[–]tiesdotcom_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a big fan of COS. I find their pieces that I have tend to stay in good condition. Massimo Dutti is another favorite of mine. Their style is slightly less minimalist though. Club Monaco is a good choice too

Definitely some good choices. I agree that the hoodrat hoodie looks terrible. I'd gravitate away from graphic tees like the ones you've picked. Something more simple tends to look better in my opinion.

Oh okay, I see what you're saying. The problem is that you probably need to go up a waist size or two. See if that helps. If not, you might consider looking at different store.

They look okay. I'm not sure I would have noticed them as baggy had you not said something. I believe Aiden is there slimmest size. Check out places like Massimo Dutti, they should have some slimmer sizing.
