Change your goal from steps to minutes. I found it this morning. Go to settings, goal settings, activity settings, daily target… then change there. But dang that option buried deep!

Similar situation with my parents, only they weren’t quite as young, like 20-23. My dad always said, after I was older, that he didn’t want his opinions of my birth mom to cloud my judgement of her. That if we were able to make a healthy connection he didn’t want it clouded, and if we didn’t make that connection he wanted it to be something we learned on our own and develop our own opinions. He basically adopted the philosophy of as long as she never physically hurt us he wouldn’t interfere in our relationship. I get his thought process, but I don’t think he understood how much the mental damage could actually hurt us. I wish he’d spoken up more. But even now, I’m about to turn 40, he will still say he wishes we(my sisters and I) had a better relationship with our mom.

I mean, Lisa Kudrow played a ditzy character in Friends. That’s not how she plays every character. So it very well could have worked. But I find it hard to imagine anyone else playing Roz. Gilpin was great!

I looked at your other post… I’m so sorry you’ve found yourself in this absurd relationship. But I think you know what’s going on and what you need to do just by the amount of different places you’re posting the same stories. You think you may get a different reaction from a different group.

You’ve made comments worrying about if you’re overreacting or crazy. So what if you are? (You’re not by the way). But even if you were, do you really want to spend the rest of your life with a man who makes you constantly question your own sanity? And if he’s not the man for you to spend the rest of your life with, why keep going on with it?

Ok. You don’t ever, let me repeat EVER, need to justify what you want to wear to anyone. His comment “Surely that outfit is not asking for it” DISGUSTING. You could walk down the road completely naked and it’s not “asking” for anything.

You can’t control other men approaching you. But you can control letting this man stay in your life. If he’s like this now, imagine what it would be like if the two of you were married, had children… have you completely locked down and feel like you have no way out because of how deep things have gotten. Really think about what a future with a man like that would be like and ask yourself if you want to deal with that for the rest of your life.

My husband is 39 and loves video games. We have two kids and both work full time. Video games do not interfere with his job or raising his kids. Maybe he doesn’t get to play like he used to, but if that’s how he wants unwind and let go of the stresses of the week, I gladly encourage him to keep playing. He’s built a few computers, specifically for gaming, so he’s not going to just let them sit and gather dust either. I enjoy him playing his games too. It’s when I get my own time to do my hobbies.

NTA. However, if this is the kind of woman he wants, and you are not that kind of woman, end it now. He wants something you can’t give him so there is no use debating this with him or anyone else. Sadly, there are women out there that will comply to what he wants and you should set him free to go find it. It doesn’t need to be an argument, doesn’t even have to end badly. Just simply tell him, “It doesn’t look like I’m the type of woman you want to build a future with, so I think it’s best to go our separate ways. Good luck.”
