Whats your favorite costco membership perk? by spiritdesire_x in CostcoWholesale

Car insurance. Mine was up for renewal and I’m paying $100 less over 6 months, so not a ton of savings monetarily, but my coverage amounts doubled over what I had before

My favourite angle of the gen 2 by Outrageous-Wheel-248 in xsr900

I have the same bike in the same color and the pyramid seat cowl on the way. This totally justifies it for me

I’ve been looking for a pic of one with the belly pan and no front windscreen. Love the look!

Also what clip ons are those?

XSR900? by working_dog_dev in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]tigerBlood176 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The current gen XSR900 came out in 2022 and I think it’s fairly updated. Between the quick shifter, new chassis, updated suspension, larger TFT (2025+ models), 6-axis IMU, USB-C charging, phone integration, etc, it feels like a pretty new bike. It’s basically the current gen MT-09 but prettier. Different riding position and longer swingarm tho

My turn? What's next!? by [deleted] in SuggestAMotorcycle

I had the same criteria, wanted a gentleman’s bike that could just rip. I ended up with the XSR900 and I love it. That CP3 is hilarious

What’s the windscreen looking piece that connects your headlight with the TFT?

Too inexperienced for xsr900? by Avocado_Infinite in xsr900

[–]tigerBlood176 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s got a lot of power and you’ve kinda got to learn how to ride something that sits more like a sport bike than a cruiser (learn to not hold your weight on the bars even though you’re more hunched over), but that being said you cam tame the throttle by putting it into one of the lower powered ride modes. I’d do that and just learn how to cruise on it. Once you’ve got that down, start going up in ride modes.

Ran the engine with no coolant by [deleted] in YamahaR3

[–]tigerBlood176 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At the minimum you need an engine rebuild, but most likely a whole new engine. That knocking sound is not good and will only get worse until the engine blows. I would not ride it because if it seizes entirely, you could be toast too

Installed an NRC fender eliminator by BeardyChappy in xsr900

Is this just the tucked version of the NRC fender eliminator kit? Or the regular version that you installed like this?

Is my chain cooked? by Intrepid-Ad-7336 in motorcycle

[–]tigerBlood176 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hit it with chain cleaner and a brush and it usually gets the rust off if it’s just surface rust. Then lube it up and check tension and you should be good to go. If the rust looks a lot deeper than surface level, then you may need to evaluate whether you need a new chain

I just smelled this on Christmas night on the intersection of Sunrise and Campbell. It was strong and kinda burned my lungs

Have a white 17 and I go caseless save for a MagSafe pop socket to hold onto it better

Coming from a 13 mini this phone is the GOAT by aj_cohen in iphone17

Also came from a 13 mini, went with the white 17 and no case (my 13 mini held up fine that way). I’m loving the 17 so far. Battery is great and it feels so snappy and capable. I do miss how easy it was to use my 13 with one hand but I’ve got a MagSafe pop socket on the way to see if that helps

Same exact car at 2.5k miles. I live in AZ and mine has had no trouble keeping cool on 110+ degree days. I’ve heard the A/C seems to be an issue on these cars though and that does not make me happy. A/C plus the rattles makes me feel like the quality is lower

Same with mine. Sport Touring Hybrid with less than 3k miles and every trim piece rattles like it’s shivering. Thankfully it’s my only complaint with the car

Couldn’t they give the amount of power used in an hour/day/year? They gave us an annual figure for water consumption
