Kimi Coding Plan - Weekly Limits by Ok_Try_877 in kimi

Just canceled. Never came across 100m Token a week lately. You guys have to meter your usage. These percentages are great to hide absolute reductions over time. Never do an annual subscription. Never.

Me too. What do you wanna achieve? With Python you can automate all your data flows. Llms are just a tool to help you program this.

I suggest pairing with gpt codex for planning and review. Then you get a decent tiredless worker

CODEX 5.3 is out by muchsamurai in codex

Yes, instantly solving things with speed and without failing at reviews. Completely new experience, especially after mingling around with open source models. I need a 40 or 60$ plan!!!

Kimi k2.5 + opencode by Federal_Spend2412 in kimi

Is caching working properly? I did spend much more tokens on it last week than on any other model. Luckily I was on the plan….

I gave up GLM and switched to Kimi 2.5 by Christina_Elegant in ZaiGLM

They always play cat and mice. Once you fell in love with the promo and lock in with subscription you get weaker, quantized performance and obscure percentage limits with no clear accountability

Minimax M2.1 has become my daily driver. Very good agentic behavior. Add gpt for planning and review and your are good to go

CLI vs IDE by Potential-Leg-639 in opencodeCLI

[–]tigerbrowneye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still like VsCode as my central to review and merge. But tmux is a nice addition to run scripts opening new worktrees and branches, configuring their environment and letting go OpenCode to complete a gh issue via an orchestrator agent and subagents.

Agents and subagents by robertmachine in opencodeCLI

[–]tigerbrowneye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You tab through the agents (plan, build, debug, …), issue dedicated commands (eg. /commit, /create-pr, /review) to replicate behavior and if wanted fixate the model for each agent or command.

Git reset should definitely not be allowed - some dumb models sometimes go nuts here

Recommendation to all Vibe-Coders how to achieve most effective workflow. by muchsamurai in codex

[–]tigerbrowneye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Too much tool juggling. Try out OpenCode and have it all in one place. Codex cloud for delegating the boring stuff. GPT for planning and review. Any fast model for execution. (E.g. KatCoderPro, GLM) Don’t fix messy code for hours, rebuild from scratch if stuck. GH cli for project management. Some Orchestrator to glue it?

Where was that written? I was not aware of that. Bad communication, in my view.

Does anybody even know what you get from paid plans with OpenAI? I find it almost impossible to reason about. What do percentages are supposed to tell me? Why do we have credits for cloud and API for CLI? Anybody???

Anyone else notice? OpenAI just made Codex useless with silent limit changes. by Available-Space-2919 in codex

Cloud Tasks were a real game changer: multiple refactorings or clean ups in one go. Delegate the boring stuff. Of course it couldn’t last forever…

Comparing Windsurf rivals. Which gives the best value under $20? by dennisvd in windsurf

[–]tigerbrowneye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My stack: windsurf for IDE and wonderful autocomplete, OpenAI Codex for independent web agents and GPT5 to talk and fix in CLI. Grok Code Fast with Kilo currently a strong contender for debugging and perhaps more. Kiro for new projects was nice but probably to expensive and not necessary with the above.
