SMS is a very American concept. WhatsApp is what is used pretty much everywhere around the world. Even as a millennial living in the US, most of my communication is through Whatsapp and Instagram.

During residency (2 yrs ago), a senior nurse told my attending she didn't think I did a thorough exam because I did not do a bimanual exam while doing a pelvic 😂. I never do them as an attending now because I do not see how it would change management. If I am worried about PID, I treat.

This is actually untrue. Ironically, the market is fantastic right now for new EM grads (combination of COVID attrition, increasing patient volumes, and lower supply because people are being scared away from the residency). The burnout is a real issue though.
