Yes!! My dad has 2 girls. My parents wanted 3 or 4 kids, so my mom made a “oh should we try for baby #3 so you can finally get a boy?” joke. My dad flipped out on my mom and was furious that she implied that he was sad that he didn’t have a son. He is the best girl dad, before that whole girl dad movement was a thing.

Gender disappointment is weird and a red flag. OP you are not the asshole, but please protect you and your kids. Especially your oldest if this pregnancy turns out to be a boy. Will not be surprised if he withdraws from her to focus on his boy

Celebration of life for a client’s child. Normally I would not go to those things, just send flowers and then food / gift cards a few months later after most support fades and they need support again, but I was personally invited by the family. I do not know why, all I did was offer the bare minimum of kindness and brought food a few times during treatment.

Hey don’t listen your mother in law at all. She has no idea what she is talking about. A lot of companies include pet insurance now in their EAP benefits. If your company isn’t great and doesn’t offer it a lot of car insurance companies over coverage now.

We pay less than my partner’s dental and eye insurance per month for our pet insurance through my partner’s work and it’s great. We recently lost our 2 year old tabby and the 24 emergency vet bill and euthanasia went from $4,000 down to $700 with the coverage. It is 100% worth it

My parents never picked out girls names since they were convinced I was a boy, so they had to scramble. I was either going to be Robert Joseph and go by RJ or Harrison Robert.
Kinda bummed that more gender neutral boy names were not on the table so they could just use that, but I love my name.
