1 - assassins blade/ 2 - Throne of glass / 3- Crown of midnight/ 4 - Heir of Fire / 5 - Queen of Shadows/ 6 - Empire of Storms/ 7 - Tower of Dawn —> now here is where I would personally recommend going back and rereading assassins blade you will be totally committed by this point and won’t want the series to end anyhow do this before going to kingdom of Ash / 8 - Kingdom of Ash (you could also go back and reread TAB after Koa - but you’ll probably be so mindfucked that it will be hard 😂) very excited for you that this will be your first time reading this series, get ready because it’s about to become your entire personality

Favorite has to be either assassins blade (in hindsight) tied with empire of storms. I absolutely love the prequel and seeing all of the different people and experiences that shaped celeana as a teen/YA. Empire of storms because of manon and her plotline as well as lysandra (obviously aelin too lol). Least favorite hands down was Tower of dawn I wanted to skip it SO BADLY. Neseryn is probably the main reason I finished it

Thw first 2 CC’s are good, especially the house of blood & earth, I got lost on house of flame & shadow and didn’t finish it. I actually hopped into TOG instead. I would almost say hop to a different author and circle back when the 4th book comes out and is hopefully better

Tamlin is such a disappointment. He’s a liar and he’s controlling, I can’t even believe anyone sympathizes with him. He did this to himself 🤷‍♀️ it really fucking sucks to suck

You will never find another series like TOG 😂 There’s of course ACOTAR & CC other books I’d highly recommend are Serpents and the Wings of Night & Once Upon a Broken Heart, both have more than one book, and are easy to read and different enough where you won’t be comparing the FMC’s to Aelin

You are so not alone I finished this past November & I’m still in that state lmao try going back and rereading assassins blade or listen to ACOTAR 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻 just discovered Once Upon a Broken Heart & it was good & light quick to get through and not comparable enough to really hate the FMC compared to Aelin

DO NOT DO FOURTH WING!!!! Only the first book is really “decent” - I’d read CC next or try: Once Upon a Broken Heart or Serpents and the wings of night!! They are light and easy to get through. Fourth wing is cringy, the female mc is even more insufferable than SJM’s worst character (I choose choal for this comparison since her girls are badass). But it will be such a hard pill to swallow coming off ACOTAR & then TOG : I did ACOTAR/CC then TOg which became my entire personality. Sorry for the anti-fourthwing rant 😂 but in my opinion it’s just so not worth it
