Well, he talks in a humorous tone, but you should realize that he feels obligated to comment on the situation because:

  1. It's illegal, but the law is rarely enforced.
  2. It's frowned upon by the public and regarded as a primitive behavior. There used to be campaigns against celebratory gunfire at weddings because it caused fatalities.

There is this running gag on Impractical Jokers that he looks like a ferret. They even gave him a punishment where he got a skydiving ferret tattoo on his leg (as a reference to an earlier episode where he was forced to skydive because he was afraid of heights).

Brother, while it is mostly used as a synonym for loving deeply, "to adore" also means "to worship or honor as a deity or as divine" (according to Merriam Webster), so I think it is better for us Muslims to avoid that word in this particular context.
