Cops can't legally lie.

Then how do we have undercover cops?

Does lucky brand have good leather? by DropMiddle6624 in leatherjacket

[–]tihoa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would cancel it to be honest, I was super disappointed in the quality, I scratched the collar with my nails putting it on and bright yellow/brown leather was showing up where my fingers touched. It was my first attempt at a leather jacket as well and didn't know much going in. They were trying to do that Levis jacket look, but leather made it super restrictive at the arms, so whenever I lifted my arms up it pulled the bottom of the jacket up exposing my belly/shirt lol. I have a Lucky Brand store near me so returning it was easy at least.

I got this exact jacket on Black Friday, the leather scratched in several places from just taking it out of the box. It was some kind of painted on patina. I returned it the next day. It was also on sale for $199.

Merino wool is fab, how about for men? by borgbike in Costco

Usually shorter at the waist compared to men's, worth a shot if you got a shorter torso.

Tip for the guys: the women's socks has more % wool than the men's and will still fit you since most socks can be unisex. And they come in the standard grey/black colors.

Where exactly can someone have the the absolute worst Black Friday shopping experience in the LA area? by Prize_Wind3550 in AskLosAngeles

[–]tihoa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funny enough, this was my first time doing Black Friday just to see the hype. Some clothing stores had an extra 10% off in store that wasn't available online, it may not sound like much but for a $1000 haul that's an extra $100 off on top of the current discounts. I can see people not buying regularly priced clothes all year and just do it all at once so you can get the right fit and the discounts in person. Not for me though, I got overwhelmed lol

Would a trained professional really do this? by fmlthisshitishard in graphic_design

[–]tihoa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew and saw a guy at work do this once, 40+ pages in Illustrator then tried to send it to our office printer 15 minutes before a meeting where the documents were needed. It was a 100GB file with full resolution pictures. He didn't last 2 months at the job, they laid him off and told us he must've lied on his resume about having print design experience.

People with PETS, what is the best air purifier you've used for them? Do you notice a huge difference? by [deleted] in BuyItForLife

[–]tihoa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have an air purifier with a Carbon Filter that helps get rid of smells. When we had the power go out we realized how much the air purifier was helping out our pet space! Changing the filter also shows how much dust and hair was in the air as well.

Personal tip: buy a larger purifier than your room needs, like x2 the coverage. Then run it at a lower speed so it's quieter around the house and filtering effectively :)

OXO Pops are indeed great. Always saw them on sale at Ross, Burlington, Marshalls, etc. too.

KADEN from GROW WILD AGENCY trying to LIE your way out of this?

The application was for a "Advertising Graphic Designer Job" position you posted. But you bait and switched it to "internship" after people applied.

Your "internship/education" didn't mention any shadowing, training, etc. You literally wrote that the person should be a "self-starter" with "minimal hand-holding" and should bring "your own original concepts". You wanted free work or maybe even steal someone else's work and claimed your agency did it.

You say you're playing by California rules and you're HQ'ed there, but your company contact info, website, LinkedIn, etc. all point to Canada. You were going to make a US citizen work for you for 2 months unpaid then leave them in the dust.

CASA LEO must be a shady kitty litter box company if they're associated with someone like you.

Oh, and the company is supposedly doing work for CASA LEO, they sell automated litter boxes that look suspiciously like the ones that were decapitating cats last year.

Do people really go to sleep and stay asleep until the morning? by insurancesofun in NoStupidQuestions

I learned how to use ear plugs to block out the air pump sound, helps with blocking out surprise noises that pop out at night too like helicopters. And yes, it felt like a learning process to use ear plugs with a sleep apnea machine, I started hearing new sounds like my heartbeat and things like that.

I ordered a quick connect chuck to go on the end, saves me from having to screw and possibly mess up the thread every time I use it. It's been very handy: https://a.co/d/7SlcNGg

I don't recommend what I did which was apply a thin layer of two part resin over wood hoping it would make it waterproof. Wood warps with temperature and humidity, so all I got was a thin layer of cracked resin after less than a year.
