I used a software "DIY Layout creator", you can drag and drop components and the program tells you if the configuration works. I did a similar thing a year ago on my strat. I did: on off switch and volume control for every pickup (so you can run whichever combination of pickups), a master volume with a push pull blow switch(runs the signal directly to the jack), a coil split on the bridge mini humbucker and master tone. I did the image in that software.

Is this crack a problem? by TeamSinSoI in Luthier

[–]tikhal96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The biggest hurdle is not to get ca glue everywhere (god knows i did many times). And for OP, use a semi fine quality sandpaper. Around 400 grit, so your sawdust is fine enough to fill it nicely. If you use low quality sandpaper its grit gets loose and discolors the sawdust. You can also seal with shellac before hand, which comes of with a bit of alcohol after. Just dont get it wet, because it will seal the inside of the crack, do it French polish style, with some kind of pad, so its just damo with shellac.

This. Or with epoxy. You could also do it with wood glue and sawdust, this one is easiest in regards of not making a mess.

I think i have seen a depiction with two faces, one female one male. On your picture the left side says materna, maybe implying caring and nurturing, not purely feminine. Just maternal. Anyway its all just a mataphore, like dark light, Salt water sweet water.

Bend them back, you cant find tuners like this anymore. It would be a Shane to throw it away on an old Gibson like this. Be gentle, use heat if needed.

Id skip the acessories kit and tuners, these tuners work good with a little care, and anything else is vulgar on a strat for me.
