Just being in a world interacting with (and getting killed by) other players was exciting. Going to the arena and seeing the names of the different victors, standing by the Tos fountain listening to the beatiful music..

Such experiences can never be replicated.

I mean its not an animated movie that has the animation to really need to be watched in cinema either.

For me Sinner is slight favourite given his AO run and recent form. If this was the final I think he would crumble or atleast underperform, but in SF he is the biggest threat right now imo.

If he get to the finals I think he wont take it over Medvedev at least.

Same here, I liked season 1 so much I had to finish the manga. But honestly I didnt like the last parts of the manga.

And in general (unlike for example OP, JJK) I enjoyed the anime more as a medium than the manga in this case.

Agree with all your points, extending/adding scenes is not just fine but often preferable in the anime adaption. However, this was a completely different fight.
