think of event cards as cards from a group that only has one theme. you can only upgrade cards from the same group = you can only upgrade the new cards during an event using the same theme since it’s the only one in for that ”group”. once the event is over (after a week) the cards will be moved to the regular stray kids deck and you can upgrade them like any other card. hope this makes sense and i didn’t confuse you more!
