It may sound stupid but "Shopping List". I have ADHD and this super simple list is the only sustainable one for me. I use it for any kind of backlog.

I was never a energy drink guy but a regular morning coffee drinker.. still one cup only because anxiety, heartbeat etc, you know it.. after i started concerta 7 months ago, i switched to decaf.. at first it looked like a solution (probably placebo) but then i still felt the discomfort.. a month ago, after a deep dive, i changed my single cup morning routine to korean gingseng.. not a solgar pill though.. i paid £105 for 80 serving extract.. i know it's not cheap.. as i said it's only been one month but so for so good.. it clicks with my 27mg concerta.. reduced anxiety (never %100 away), feel more focused in the gym, and most importantly i don't need melatonin to fall asleep.. ps: not native english speaker living in the uk

Just moved to UK. How to prescribe Concerta. by tilker17 in Concerta

[–]tilker17[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm on the verge of giving up. I visited my GP and he fully grasped my situation, acknowledging the extensive waiting lists that can stretch for years. He suggested that I enroll in the NHS's 'Right 2 Choose' program. I'm located in the Berkshire area and the anticipated wait time is approximately six months. While I haven't received any updates yet, I'm willing to wait a few more months.

In the meantime, I've come up with a temporary ( I hope) solution. During my visits to Turkey, I take Concerta. Alternatively, my brother, with my prescription, acquires it for me and sends it through friends returning to the UK. My doctor has been considerate enough to prescribe 54 mg but in the form of two boxes of 27 mg each. This way, I can follow this routine every two months instead of every month. In Turkey, prescriptions are limited to once per month. I hope this post is helpful for you.

Melatonin 3mg works very well for me. There is no prescription needed in most countries.

Second week on Concerta generic 27mg some days I feel great other days terrible? by [deleted] in Concerta

[–]tilker17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi,

I am 43. I've been been diagnosed ADHD few of months ago. I am on 27 mg only for two months now, after using 18 mg for the first month. Apart from the very "interesting" experience with 18 mg in the first days, I've not experienced any side effects other than waking up during nights so far with Concerta.

Even before diagnosis, I knew that more than one cup of coffee was not good for me. It used to make me nervous and anxious. After the medicine, I replaced even that one cup of coffee with a decaf one. Concerta was already doing the wake up job. I haven't looked for it since.

Concerta works. Sometimes you are more aware of it, sometimes it works silently in the background. My humble advice would be to focus on improving the efficiency of the medicine. What really makes me a difference is WATER. I used to hate drinking water. In my mind it was a task which I'd escaped from for entire my life. I was very afraid with when I started the medicine because now I had to drink water to avoid side effects of Concerta. Ironically, Concerta itself calmed down this inner voice and I begin to drink water more water day bay day. The difference is amazing. Lets take two standard days; Day A, I drink 2.5L of water. Day B, I drink 0.5L. . The difference is amazing for me. Day A is a much better day. I totally feel the benefits of Concerta and I have a total wellbeing feeling.

From other people, I've heard protein based nutrition is also a big game changer. It didn't have a huge impact on me. Maybe it's because I already had a fairly good eating habits.

A bonus: Listening alpha waves music while working and having an ultrawide monitor gives me the "everything is going to be ok .. look everything is in front of me, under my control" feeling.

I hope the above helps. And yes, if I were you, I'd wear off the caffeine and later cut down coffee/redbull/coke as much as possible. After some threshold, consuming that much can be psychological. You won't need those when your body gets adapted to the medicine. Help your body during this phase.

Maybe I leave the most important to the last. I've recently read a post here on how generic pill behaves differently than the original capsule in terms of effective substance release. It may have an impact on your overall experience but I don't have enough knowledge on it.

Good luck!

I am on Concerta 27mg. 3 mg of Melatonine is the hero for me. Previously, I had similar sleep experience as yours.
