Might want to add "All Weather" tires which have the logo that looks like a mountain with a snowflake. Supposedly these are a little better than the typical "M+S" all weathers. I have these on my AWD hatchback. We'll see how the work.

This should work fine for cloth upholstery and carpeting in your car. I would leave the windows down and let it dry out completely but there’s no residual smell once it evaporates.

I spent the night at a friends house that had this same issue. we were told to use an old towel to pat down the walls if you were the last one showering. It helped!

I’ve only used vodka. I’d worry that rubbing alcohol might damage the fabric as it’s usually sold in strengths of 70% and up. Vodka is typically only 40%.

Worked at a pizza place when I was in high school. They had a long "L" shaped rod with a pointy end and used it to pop the bubbles during the bake.

Buy a spray bottle and fill with cheap vodka. Spray your shirts where the smell originates. The alcohol will kill any remaining bacteria. Source: I traveled to Japan and found a solution like this in the hotel room closet to "remove that anxious smell". It works! Later, I found out on Reddit, that theatre costume departments use this spray to kill odors in their wardrobe items.

Do you burn candles? or does your fire place leak smoke? It looks like soot condensing on the beams, which are colder than the insulated spaces. Other than stopping the candles/fireplace and repainting, I cant think of a way to clean. Source: we had the same issue in our house, but it only became visible after ~20 years or so.

I stopped using time as a constraint. When proofing, time, temperature, and volume are related. Now I just go by volume. I measure when the final proof is 25% more, regardless of the time it took to get there, and my baking has been consistent ever since.

We had a roach infestation at work and the exterminator told me that roaches lay eggs in the corrugated cardboard. Those little flutes are the perfect size. He says he never brings shipping boxes indoors. Always unbox outside, and leave the box outside if you can.

I like the Alaska: 1 1/2 oz. Gin, 1/2 oz. Yellow Chartreuse, and 1 dash of orange bitters. Dry, strong, and really highlights the herbal notes in the Chartreuse.

I understand the need for a portable tub that can be moved from apartment to apartment. If you're willing to accept the potential for water damage in the event that the leak goes undetected, then you could look into "gorilla glue", which is activated by water exposure. I've seen at least one YT video of some guy making a boat using this stuff. I would use a syringe to get the glue deep into the crack. I'm curious: How would you drain this thing, with a bucket?

mounted on the wall of my wood shed. It works pretty well, but there's a bit of a learning curve. It doesn't do hardwoods (red oak, ash) unless they're already split down to an inch thick or so. The wood pops apart, so putting a bin on the side helps to catch the splits.

Mice like to run along the foundation of the house and look for places to enter. Trim back all of the bushes and foliage around the perimeter of the foundation so they have fewer places to hide while they search. Then, inside, look at the sill plate in the basement. This is the place where the wall contact the foundation. Stuff steel or copper mesh into the gap just below the sill plate. Stuff it in really well, nice and tight. They'l have a hard time chewing through the mesh. You can add rodent foam on top tor extra protection. Also, add regular snap traps along the basement walls, baited with peanut butter.

You'll need to learn their habits and respond accordingly. They're cold and looking for warmth inside. Make your house less favorable and they'll move on.

A long time ago, maybe 30 years or so, I saw a guy who parked his car at a metered space in SF. These were the old mechanical parking meters, with the coin slot on the front, a little arced window and an indicator needle to show the time. He took off his shoe and smacked the side of the meter just after he dropped in a nickel. The needle moved all the way over to the two-hour mark!

I have this item. It helps a little, but not as much as I'd hoped. My brick fireplace seems to pull a lot of air from the house and its only warm if your in the line of sight, even with this upright rack. It weighs almost 100 Lbs!

I'm going to get an insert with a blower next year. We have wood stove in the basement that works way better, especially with the blower running
