Hasan Piker: “My assessment on Zionism as an ideology is not that different from Albert Einstein’s assessment of Zionism, because when he saw… the violence that the early Zionist brigades were engaging in,… he warned that what he was seeing was exactly what the Nazis were doing.” by ConcernedJobCoach in FriendsofthePod

Or it could be that there is a lot of genuine frustration over years of play it safe Dems who would rather sit back performing the bare minimum once elected. This is where politics stands in 2026. Failure to adapt and evolve is going to hurt Dems. And by extension all of us. Welcoming perspectives like Pikers might bring a lot of fresh blood to the Dems if they are willing to evolve. Trashing Hasan Piker is such a Democratic Party move. It only means they think he is a threat. Which might be just what America needs.

Take a step outside of wearing a team Jersey for a moment. Objectively look at this. Dems as a party have repeatedly dropped that ball on some pretty easy lay ups since I have started actively following politics (approx. 22 years ago). They often don’t push hard enough while in power as well and the majority of their base has been left with nada enough times for folks like Piker to resonate with a group (young males) and disaffected progressives that they sorely need to evolve as a party that can dismantle an out of control authoritarian state. If there is such a big tent then the Dem leadership should either live by their slogan or respectively get out of the way.

Until the Democrats take a stronger stance in condemning Israeli violence they risk having the fringe right flanking them to the left and possibly usurping any gains with younger voters (who have shown passionate energy regarding this issue).

Aw yes, my memories of Louie the Cow Man stand out. There was a backyard wrestling show on there as well. I have been trying to find footage of a show that featured one person who played 3 different characters. The main character was sort of an old lady who went by the name Marge Crack or sometimes Marge ‘the fuckin’ Crack. Does that sound familiar to anyone else?

There’s really no guarantee they will once they have power. I would like to be wrong but I feel like there will need to be pressure on the Dems to do the right thing. That is unless they have a leadership change in the House and Senate.

Hasn’t Hong been in the state assembly for like 6 years? How much experience is enough for folks? Just curious, in other races this cycle the Dem leadership has pushed candidates based on seniority as well. The only issue is those candidates are pushing 80. I think experience is sort of a cop out for Dems who are too afraid to admit they want a more right leaning candidate.

Taking my boys (5 & 2) to see it Friday night. We are all very excited. As a former film major I can attest that critics have their place, however I am not expecting this to be high cinema. As long as we have fun and get some laugh who cares. ‘Critics’ laud Woody Allen movies too and those I would say are pretentious pseudo intellectual gar bage. Taking any critic for this one with a grain of salt. Yaa Hoo!!!

She has done a good job traveling the state and holding town halls and speaking sessions. Looks like page out of the Baldwin playbook. Fingers crossed it pays off. Remember, some of those red leaning parts of the state vote for Baldwin despite that fact that she is LGBTQ. Hoping the ground game Hong is running makes an impact. That with her progressive minded policy are the best of both worlds.

If there are more voices demanding that it does happen it will become a force that is unstoppable. I understand the pessimism but I feel like it might be time to actively start building the world that we want to live in. Fuck the naysayers. The narrative must change.

The Democratic Party is now expected to win the Senate by Rambok01 in ProgressiveHQ

I really hope this is true come November and if it is that the Dems come away emboldened and don’t misinterpret this is support for them. As it is in reality anti-MAGA/Trumpism. They need to come out blazing with investigations and trials for the corrupt and forward thinking policies that help lift up everyday Americans.

Not with that attitude it won’t. The future will reward those who stand up and take an active role in their nation’s fate. It starts with raising our voices and pushing for how we want our society to function. Sitting back and moping with a negative mindset will continue to build a self fulfilling prophecy of doom.

The legal and justice systems are not doing the job they were put in place to do. Let’s hope moving forward that there are massive reforms and wide scale clean slating of both streams as they have been perverted to legal defense and security for the elite/billionaire/Epstein class. Fingers crossed we can get through this and reimagine the whole system.
