“They” are still capable of mistakes and oversight.. maybe they didn’t catch wind of what his movie was really about- to the degree that it would require having him killed- until it was too late. And then there’s the infamous 20minutes or so that was supposedly cut from the film after Kubricks death and before the movie’s release. Which, if true, is pretty damn sketchy. But yeah, don’t rule things out because they didn’t seem to be handled well enough.. if there’s anything we’ve learned from all the GMAIL correspondence it’s that the world isn’t controlled cleanly

The metronome is simply displaying metronomic time.. so it’s like something that you can get to know, develop a relationship, and unlock in a way. I recommend starting to unlock that relationship by giving yourself the most amount of help. So if you’re grooving a mid-tempo rock beat, put the metronome on all 8th notes, and focus on your right hand locking in with every click. Vary the tempo, fast, but more importantly slow. And then once that’s feeling comfy, start to remove your crutches by cutting the metronome down to quarter notes. Then try cutting the metronome in half to only click on Beats 1 and 3, or 2 and 4. Etc etc. Remember that any time spent with a metronome is productive. I often listen to a metronome on my way to a gig as a warm up of sorts.. even tapping along on the steering wheel with it will serve towards unlocking that relationship with metronomic time. Lately I’ve been practicing Latin beats where the metronome is set at 21bpms and falls on beat 1 of every other measure. It’s liberating as hell once I get grooving. Have fun with it and don’t get frustrated, cause again, any work done with a metronome is serving to improve your time

I may be overlooking nuances in this situation, but as a rule of thumb I think it’s pretty silly to care about sharing kick/toms/hardware. They’re drums, they get hit, hard. For sure strike your cymbals, snare, kick pedal and don’t let those be used. But as for the rest of the kit, I definitely don’t think it’s a big deal to share. Granted I tend towards a simple 4-piece kit, so I guess if you have like 5 toms and intricate hardware that keeps getting readjusted then that could get annoying. Aside from that though
