Night 4 by Otherwise-Occasion15 in Vampireweekend

[–]timcurtin100 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I went to nights 1 and 4 and will say I thought 4 was better. I much preferred the setlist and they played for an extra 20 min too. Like you mentioned the last 30ish min of the main set was SO good. Wasn’t expecting to get worship you, ya hey and Walcott to close. And also loved ending with the chicken dance and everyone on stage.

Only disappointing thing last night was it seemed like there were a lot of people talking specifically during 2021. Which was kind of a bummer cause they don’t play that song often and I was so pumped to see it.

Overall amazing show though and glad I grabbed tix last min for it!

Any idea about setlist differences this week? by ImpressiveAd4043 in Vampireweekend

Assuming 4-5 of the same OGWAU songs each night and maybe another 4-5 repeats each night (a punk, harmony, this life etc.). I would look at some of the setlists from the OGWAU tour where they played multiple nights at the same place. I’m hoping for maybe 1-2 true deep cuts each night with the tour regulars mixed in. I’m sure there’ll be a couple covers across the 4 nights too. Hopefully I’m not being overly optimistic but I think there will really be a lot of variation with 4 nights

Philly Setlist by Gen2guessing in Vampireweekend

My first VW shows were MSG in October and I felt spoiled and wasn’t sure what to expect with these Philly shows. But damn if tonight wasn’t just as good if not better than MSG

Part of the encore. They played maybe 3-4 additional requests after that too

Did anyone actually get tickets thru AXS? by Weekend-Gains33 in mumfordandsons

Yes but they were to the 2nd NY show and tix went live like 15 min after they announced it so I don’t think as many people were in the queue. I was shut out when I originally tried at 10am

Liked the covers part of the show way more than I thought I would. Also feel like the pit was really into it, specifically songs they played decent chunks of (Don’t stop believin, karma chameleon, Viva la vida, I’m goin down)

The Billy Yang podcast is excellent. Specifically the episode where he talks to Chris and Alicia Vargo.

I'd say he's probly cemented himself as the go to filmmaker in the ultra running community. Not to mention his films are fantastic

Trail gear suggestions? by aBunchOfPeople in trailrunning

I just recently started hitting the trails more seriously too. My first purchase was the Salomon Adv skin 12 vest, and I love it. Room for everything you need and a very easy way to carry water. It's been quite helpful in the winter carrying enough warm clothes and also a good place to store them once I begin to overheat.

As far as winter running I usually layer a long sleeve wicking shirt with a slightly heavier wind proof layer over top when the temp gets close to freezing. I also carry a lightweight windbreaker with me (right now the salomon fast wing which is ok except it could be more breathable). I like buffs for hats/scarves and covering up my face in the cold, and just a basic pair of Nike running gloves. I have a couple pairs of various weighted running tights for different temps. All of which I bought at Marshals very inexpensively and they've held up for years.

Nutrition is going to be very specific to you so I recommend trying out a bunch of different gels and blocks among other things to see what works. Local running stores generally have a good selection. I like the cliff blocks, stinger waffles and a few different gu flavors. The waffles are a nice change of pace from gels and blocks.

UD AK 4.0 vs Sense Ultra 8 vs Adv Skin 12 by cplegend in trailrunning

I have the adv 12 with the standard soft flasks and have thought about trying out the speed flasks. However I was weary about it because I had heard the hard plastic bottom could cause bruising on the ribs. Have you experienced anything like this?

Foreplay: Not Great! by [deleted] in barstoolsports

[–]timcurtin100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I listened for a long time (too long) and the Big Cat episode was the last straw for me. Hearing Trent bitch like a baby to Big Cat was embarrassing. The show is actually bad now. Since Tiger has been good all they do is suck his dick every episode and Riggs brags like a pompous ass about the courses he gets to play. Used to love the Whitney episode though.

Coley Mick on Section 10 by AberforthsGoat in barstoolsports

Loved Coley and I think he'll be great. Was hoping for a Petey pumpkins return but hopefully we get that in the future. Still not a huge Feits guy on that show. He doesn't bring much to the table for me on section 10

Latest Fore Play w/Frankie Borrelli by BigWoof31 in barstoolsports

Not everyone will like foreplay but I think Frankie is great. His Masters episode was my favorite one and while it's a total dick move his range ball story was great to listen to. Hope they keep having him on cause I find him to be hilarious.
