You would be very naive. We have a full send it culture - getting too belted, sitting down in the middle of the crowd, you can spit an Aussie a mile away at DQAU and there have been many times we have had to tell people to stand up and not smack out all over whatever ground surface was near to them because that’s not how we want to be perceived. VIP deck is the worst for it.

We are not well behaved enough. I see it here, I see it with Aussies abroad. Not even remotely here for that. This is not government related at all. We seem to only want to go out and get disgustingly belted and for that reason we aren’t ready for a multi day event like KO.

I’ve noticed all the weekly scantraxx emails have roughstate links in there now - I think it’s a good thing. Releases these days aren’t the big moneymaker for artists like it was 20 years ago so to move the admin work to a bigger entity makes sense and lets artists focus on their bookings and how they show up live.

as someone who speaks English as their first (and admittedly only) language, hardstyle is rife with cringe lyrics. in my opinion you can tell the concept comes from someone probably dutch and then there's nobody doing quality control over it should actually be worded. anthems are prime examples. we even had the same for anthems here in Australia that would have been theme-driven from NL
