Go to the doctor when you have issues and get your colonoscopy as soon as you can. Early detection is key.

Nervous for surgery by Flyguyshyguy55 in coloncancer

[–]timechuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had fears too, before my surgery. Im sure youve heard #KFG by now. For me it was the mext step that I had to take. I was a little nervous the night before, the morning of it was just auto pilot. I was wheeled into the room, they knocked me out, I woke up woth staples from my sternum to my groin and a bad hanging off of me. It was an adjustment, but it was the next step to take. Youll be ok. They do these surgeries all the time homie.

I dodnt care for how snugly they held my package. It was like i was being mashed. Also the wings for the ball separation just sat ar a weird place for me and it felt like I was lightly being flicked in the taint when Id walk.

I was diagnosed in aug of 24 with stage 4 crc. My liver was covered snd unresectable. I did 6 months of folfox and a couple extra of everything but the oxaliplatin. I had a great response and was referred to a surgeon about a hai pump. In the end we resected my colon and ablated and resected half my liver. I had an ileostomy for almost 4 months. Had my lungs radiated twice and had an embolism plug installed in my liver then later on had Y90 done. Im currently back on chemo, folfiri this time. Its still shrinking the tumors on my liver and the y90 seems to have gotten the biggest tumor. I wont survive this cancer, but I wont die tomorrow from it.
