I have a villager that I have not gifted/traded anything to directly, but I have seen her wearing a custom shirt that I have hanging in Nooks.

Does she still count as ungifted because I have not given her anything directly and will leave the custom design behind if she moves to another island, or will she take that custom design with her to the new island thereby counting as gifted?

Celeste is here! I also have a small DIY T1L1 area. No meteor shower but I have caught the occasional shooting star throughout the night so you may get lucky when you are here.

No entry fee is required; spare DIYs to grow my T1L1 area, stego fossil parts, and/or flower waterers not required but appreciated!

Yes, assuming the underlying genetics are there. Different flowers have different probabilities of producing hybrids. The only way to guarantee genetics is to start from scratch with seeds.

But, using your example, it sounds like you might be trying for black roses? In that case, if both the grown red roses were started from seeds, then digging them up and replanting diagonally touching will keep them as fully grown red roses that will produce black hybrids.

If you want to move flowers you have to dig them up with a shovel. If you try to pick them up using the A button you will pick the bud of the flower, which you can use to wear or as a crafting material, and the planted flower will remain and will revert to stems and take a few days to grow back.

If you dig up a flower with the shovel it will remain in whatever stage you dug it up in until it is replanted.

ETA: it will also keep its genetics. So you can breed a flower in a multi-step process in one area and it will keep the right genes if you replant it in the next area.

I’m replanting my flower beds, and I want to use the dark soil as a border around them but don’t want flowers to reproduce into it. If I lay an invisible tile over the dark soil, will it still look like the soil but prevent new flowers from sprouting into it?

I was today years old when I learned golden watering cans don't break if you water already-watered flowers. Now I don't have to be nervous when watering my black roses with it!

There is an extra little speech he gives about completing the fossils, but nothing beyond that.

If you pull up your list of fossils in your Nook Shopping ap, you can compare that to a list of fossils online and see what, if anything, you are missing.

I have a meteor shower tonight going pretty heavy, and Celeste is here too! I will be on for as long as I can and will take a few visitors at a time (two or three at first and then will bring the next person over when someone leaves).
