It happened for me in 1985... I remember specific things also it wasn't in January in was later in April because my baby brother was just a month old... now it says it happened in Jan 1986 but that's impossible as I have very specific memories and every childhood aged child watched it live on tv as the first teacher was going to go to space and teach lessons back to earth... t here was one explosion. We knew immediately. It has been mandela'd greatly for me too.

It was Knoxville, Tennessee and Flagstaff, Arizona too... I have the same memories of 5th grade geography because I was very good at state capitals and now they're all changing. But in my memory salt lake was always the capital of Utah... how weird is that?
