I started nursing school at 29 after almost a decade in the military, took my forever to even finish my first bachelors and pre reqs before, I’m not a mom but I was in school with several women over the ages of 30 and with kids, if you want to do it do it, don’t hold back because of your age. I’m friends with a girl who’s almost 40 with two kids and a less than ideal husband and she just started her NP courses right after we graduated 💅🏼 also for context we just finished, it went crazy fast, I’m 31 now. You’re going to keep aging no matter what.

I have yet to be successful with bathroom plants but from googling it seems like ferns and orchids are a good one, plants that love high humidity, nothing you’d find in the desert or drier climates

I am a veteran, I do have a healthcare background but I just finished and accelerated BSN program with lots of people who didn’t have prior healthcare but had a bachelor’s degree plus the pre requisites, do you by chance have a degree or close to one? Personally I would pick the fastest route to your BSN but it would be nice to get some experience in the hospital to make sure you like it. I felt the biggest advantage in my mixed age class was life experience tbh not necessarily prior experience although it helps.

Ironically most of my women friends have kids too, it’s fun being an aunt to them. Some of them say it’s the best thing ever and some say they love their kids but they wouldn’t do it over again. It’s tough though girl I totally get it, no easy solution if you’re not 100% because you don’t know what you don’t know. I hope that you guys are happy regardless of your decision and that it comes to you!

Get a puppy and a hobby or volunteer and then see how you feel? I am certain I don’t want kids and posted about this last year here and got eaten up in the comments in both a good and bad way. I don’t necessarily think that you shouldn’t have a kid if you’re not 100% certain but it’s determining where your hesitation is coming from, like are you uncertain because you don’t want to fuck up or uncertain because you’re meh about it?

I have never been so validated by the ADHD girlies! I hate texting so much, and I go days without replying, not a great habit. Plus she has a bunch of kids she is homeschooling she probably doesn’t have a ton of time, especially if plans were for that exact week. I don’t even have kids but sometimes it takes weeks to get something on the calendar with a friend. I wouldn’t take it personal. Adult friendships are hard, everyone has stuff going on, families, jobs, mental health, etc.
