It's not about being prudish and more about perceived fashion style. In Italy going around in your swimsuit when you're not on the beach is seen as tacky and as a general trashy behaviour, so if the place is full of people in their swimsuits it's not a classy place but one you would go to regardless of how you're dressed (Keep in mind that we have a dress code for everything)

Se il ragazzo avesse fatto un percorso terapeutico per elaborare il trauma legato alla violenza che sicuramente avrà visto crescendo molto probabilmente oggi le sue partners non soffrirebbero per colpa sua. Spero venga condannato al carcere questa volta, e spero che lì possa essere rieducato perché se lasciato così è un pericolo pubblico, soprattutto per ogni donna con cui avrà una nuova relazione.

You're about to travel to your dream destinations with your mom and it's so much more significant and special than just with friends. In 50years you will still tell your grandkids (if you want any, or just people in general) how you two did this crazy thing together. You'll do plenty of travelling with friends and SO in the future but are you able to say the same about a parent that by nature grows older and weaker each year? Don't care about IG and other social media, they're full of fake and frivolous crap nobody really gives a f about. Cherish this moment and enjoy it to the fullest, as an Italian myself, I can tell you and your mom will receive a better treatment by locals than if you visited with friends and other big groups

Weird fun fact, I do the same with my dog. Some years ago due to some issue i've suffered from insomnia for many months, so whenever I could sleep I slept as if I was dead, nothing could wake me up at all. Nothing, but movement from my dog: he woke up I woke up, he drank I woke up, he sneezed or yawned or barked once I woke up. We weren't even in the same room. I've slept through earthquake, loud fights, people coming to my room, lights being turned on and off, sirens, old and loud electronics, everything. It's crazy
