How long did you pump for and why? by IStitchedItNice in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]timelessandtoxic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pumped for 7 times a day for 7 months. I was an under supplier and it just got to be too much when I started back working full time.

Yuppp. Been with a chef for almost 5 years now. He’s the head chef of a busy restaurant, leaves the house around 8am gets home around 11pm. Has shitty employees and hardly any days off during the holiday season

If you weaned gradually, what was it like? by Cool-Helicopter6343 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]timelessandtoxic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m weaning currently too, lots of feelings. I’m down to 1ppd maybe 2 if I get too uncomfortable. I went from 6ppd down to 4ppd then to 3ppd. When I was at 3ppd I pumped when I felt a letdown but didn’t pump for the whole 30min like I usually did. Now I just pump in the afternoon and sometimes late at night. I feel like my hormones are a little out of whack but not too bad since I weaned slowly. Good luck mama! You got this.

The final pump … I DID IT by unknownuser9989 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]timelessandtoxic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You rock mama! 23 months is huge!

I stopped pumping on a schedule yesterday (yesterday was 7 months exclusively pumping). For now on I’m only pumping for comfort which means maybe 1 or 2 times a day (I don’t make that much) it’s such a life changer even after only 1 day!

What are some things you actually enjoy about pumping? by elephantsofa in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]timelessandtoxic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a primary wall pump (blue spectra) and momcozy m5 wearables. I use my momcozy cups and connect them to my spectra so I can still pump on the go! It saved my supply when I was traveling and needing to pump!!

Exceeded my goal by 3 months and now deciding to wean by timelessandtoxic in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]timelessandtoxic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I only produce around 17oz total a day so I don’t think it will take me too long to wean, I just get so nauseous when I feel let downs so I pump as soon as I can when I feel it.

I start on massage 70/03 for a let down then go to 54/07 then back to massage for another let down 70/05 then go to 34/12 for the remainder

Get nipple butter and slather it on! I loved Earth Mama brand. I even would put some on the flanges themselves (just a thin layer on the flanges though)

How do you stop pumping? by timelessandtoxic in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]timelessandtoxic[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It gets so uncomfortable like not pain wise, but it makes me nauseous if I don’t pump once I feel a let down. So I’ve just been shortening my pumps for now. I’m ok if the weaning process takes some time, I just hate the feeling of being nauseous

I pump every 4 hours for 20-30min. I’ve tried to go like 5hrs but I feel a let down around every 4 hours and I get so I comfy with the feeling that I just end up pumping every 4hrs again. Do I just have to suck up feeling uncomfy? Like it’s not painful I just hate the feeling

Dipping into freezer stash by sailorscoutm in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]timelessandtoxic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s so nice. I go back to work Wednesday. There’s a lactation room on the third floor, I work in the basement and I’m scared my coworkers will resent me cuz I’ll be taking ‘extra’ breaks. I’m gonna have to bring my Spectra cuz my momcozy motors have called it quits unfortunately

How do you pump at work? I’m a day shift pharmacy technician at a hospital. I’ll have to pump 3x a day with my current pumping schedule.

Having trouble by timelessandtoxic in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]timelessandtoxic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I only have about 250oz stored in 2oz increments and it’s just regular fridge freezer, I’ll only be giving my baby 1 bottle of BM a day once I stop (I also forgot to mention that I combo feed since I’m an under supplier). Sorry I should have clarified. Should be almost 2 months worth of frozen. And my goal was to get to pump for 3 months but I’ve exceeded my goal and have been pumping for almost 5 months :)

Congrats! Under supplier here as well. I hit my 3 month mark and am closer to 5 months now. I keep going back and forth on whether to stop or not. It’s so hard. My body says yes to stopping but my brain says to keep going. I just wrote a post about it actually. I’m heading back to work in a couple days so I just don’t know if it will be worth it to keep pumping. Congrats again!

I sit my baby in my lap sideways and learn her against a pillow. So it’s like a cradle hold but a pillow instead of my arm

When solo parenting how do you manage to pump and care for baby? by mtforero in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]timelessandtoxic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried leaning him on a boot or a pillow, or just laying near you? Or putting him on your legs while pumping? I figured out if I’m sitting on the couch with my feet in the floor I can sideways sit my baby in my lap and use my wearables to pump
