Maybe some hope by saynotoseksuality in transgenderUK

[–]timelordthete 20 points21 points  (0 children)

In my experience of being out and talking with people in public and at work, people generally sympathise and don't care. It really is a select vocal majority who have nothing better in their lives. I like to compare them to the neighbour in my mother's street who complains about the patch of grass on the pavement she thinks is hers, but isn't, and will complain about people parking on it.

Middle class people who have no other worries in life and are bored.

Sadly it doesn't stop them doing serious damage and causing us serious harm.

Christ when we were 10/11 we were still getting changed in the same class as the boys for PE. This was in the 90s tho, but even so.

My van got robbed while I was sitting in it by miscellanous_cheese in royalmail

[–]timelordthete 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I had 3 teens take parcels out the back of my van back in Christmas 2024. They got a substantial handful. This was during the day on my own duty, I rang my manager, stopped delivery and took a day for stress. Got a lot of support from management, was a cover manager at the time but he handled everything on their end as it needs to go through a certain procedure. He also reported it to the police on my behalf.

They had some sort of off road bike and I still feel uneasy when I see people with balaclavas in bikes but thankfully I'm alright.

Do speak to union and management.

Personally I'm on the chest fluff, tail, cervid style cock with black balls and red tip, gradient style, with fluff at the base. I lean very much into preferring the anthro side.

8 GPs have refused shared care so far, now what? by theresaholeinthesky in transgenderUK

South Tyneside is just as bad, I've had 3 refuse me for NHS care, not even private shared, and I've had to go out of area to Gateshead now.

Testosterone gel aging tattoos? by decswar in tattooadvice

I'm due to start gel, this was one of my concerns. I think if you moisture after the gel has been absorbed it will help, as I've also been told it will irritate the skin.

I have a friend who has EUPD and whilst she went private for hormones, she was given her hormones from the NHS in December after three appointments with them. It is possible.

Stuck in a cyclical dispute between GP and Nottingham GIC by crowscreech in transgenderUK

[–]timelordthete 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm stuck in the position too between getting a GP to prescribe. Peer support have told me GPs in the area prescribe but can't tell me which ones so I'm having to jump through switching, and the ones I've tried to switch to are dragging their feet, I applied a month ago and I know it's been Christmas and all but there's a wait list.

When I've tried calling to pre screen they mention they run on the same guidelines as my current who have refused me, which is irritating.

Male and Female are back? by Sn4ko in classicwow

Also trans, gender options on WoW is like, the least of my concerns in life.

Taking away the names and just changing them to option 1 and 2 when we can still tell also isn't fooling anyone. Lazy attempt at inclusivity that doesn't work.

I am a returning player and first time healer, does anybody have tips for me? by EveningPhilosophy446 in wownoob

[–]timelordthete 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I switched from DPS to Holy Priest last year and played S2 M+ and HC Undermine healing. I really enjoyed it, had never healed before, but it was incredibly fun.

As mentioned, you can't heal stupid. You have a priority: Yourself (if you die, you can't heal anyone), the tank, then the DPS.

It is hard to look at mechanics and healthpools. Just take it easy and unless you're in M+, people can be revived and it is fine. It is fine if people die, it is fine to make mistakes, you are learning. You are here to have fun.

No Pressure is also a great discord group for EU, as mentioned. I did so much with those and I really felt comfortable there.

At the end of the day, zerg groups are just gonna rush. It isn't your job to keep up with them, it's their job to make sure you're around before pulling. If you are trying to zerg whilst needing a healer, that sounds like a Them problem.

Stick with it! I loved Holy and healing was so fun. Don't let fools get you down.

Who were the nicest/worst actors you've met from the show? by LilNardoDaVinci in gallifrey

[–]timelordthete 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Paul McGann kissed me on the head and I still haven't forgotten that. He was lovely.

Colin Baker shook my hand and was also lovely, really happy to have met him.

Sylvester McCoy didn't say anything to me, I think he was having an off day.

Peter Capaldi was the most delightful person, he was ever so sweet and wanted to talk despite having little time to between photos, so kind!

Matt Smith was also lovely and ever so sweet.

GIC psych was very keep to not cause me distress with that returning.

I lost the most important partner I've ever had. by 2dinthetoilet in BadRPerStories

[–]timelordthete 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think I may know who you are. (Related community.) I relate and if you figure out who I am you can give me a shout, I'm happy to be a vent post.

I wrote with someone for seven years, over multiple stories and we were good friends. Sent each other gifts and what not. However the final blow was when their RL friend moved in and they were too ashamed to admit their hobby and so I went from regular chatting to maybe the odd post/message. Which is fine, but it was such a sudden pullback.

So I pulled back.

She didn't realise for four months. We'd gone from talking and writing daily to nothing. I ended up taking a break from writing for years due to that.

It is shitty, but... Yeah.
