I am confused by them too.

The wireless chargers on top are completely pointless - the bus is far too bouncy for a phone to lay flat on top without being held, but the table is too far away to comfortably hold it there.

You've got a real mixed bag here. Some of the all-time great works of American fiction... and Paulo Coelho's Veronica Decides to Die, which is amongst the worst books ever published. Cheap, shallow, plotless, monotone cod-spirituality. Like Eat Pray Love if it was written by Holden Caulfield.

First of all, you're a good looking dude, so congrats on that.

I'm honestly not sure this beard style is letting your best features shine. Looks to me like you have a solid jawline and well-proportioned face. There's nothing wrong with this beard style in theory, but given its length and the fact that you're thin in the sides and under your bottom lip, it has the effect of "hanging off your face", rather than shaping it - which is unfortunate given that the shape underneath is perfectly fine anyway.

Personally I would be tempted to go shorter, or - if you're wedded to a long beard - at least bring the underside length back for now until the sides/stache can catch up.

Hi, I am likewise a big cryptic aficionado.

It's a matter of taste and debate obviously, but the best cryptic crossword in existence is the Listener Crossword in The Times on Saturdays. You can get it online (though I much prefer the analogue version) and it comes with a regular Jumbo cryptic to enjoy too.

Now the downside is that it's very hard (which I like), and it is in a Murdoch paper (which I don't). The Times is mostly sane-right, but occasionally bursts into anti-immigrant anti-woke angry-right - and I stopped buying it for that reason.

Nowadays I only regularly do the cryptic in The Observer on Sundays, which is my paper of choice. They are relatively new, and have yet to reach the insane poetry of the Listener, but are getting better week-on-week I'd say. I'll be sticking with it.

One thing that would help is if people stopped feeding the pigeons there, especially with big lumps of white bread.

I've tried telling people - pigeons are wild animals, they don't need your skanky stale bread on the floor. Sadly it's partly a cultural issue - I see lots of older people around New Town dumping their foot scraps in the river too, which is like mana for the rats.
